Second Gen. Honda Jazz/Fit

I did a test drive on a 1.5 GE at Honda Pasig yesterday afternoon. It was my first time for a test drive and feeling was just exhilarating. The moment I sat on the driver's seat and turned on the ignition, I just felt that "this is it" for me. I also remember not asking too much technical questions from the SA about the car - parang sakto na lahat, wala na kong reklamo tska wala ng kulang pa - my bad, pambayad n lng pla. Hehe.

The test drive unit was an un-tinted habanero red. It was really a head turner! From Pasig we went straight to Fort Boni. Sana going to Antipolo so I can feel how the car responds to uphills, since dun ako nakatira. Nevertheless, the drive experience was just impressive. I cant ask for more from the car, but probably more freebies from the SA. Hehe.

It was just a 7km drive. My average FC was 12.5 km/ltr. It was actually more than what I have expected which was only at 9 km/ltr.

I cant wait until the 1st week of Dec so I can complete the purchase. Antay pa ng leave conversion and 13th month. Hehe.

Good day tsikoteers! matagal na po ako nagbabasa dito sa tsikot.com. kailan lang ako nakapag register dito. halos dito na ko nagkaron ng malay about cars, sa kababasa lang. but still i consider my self a newbie. now we are planning to get a honda jazz 2010 taffeta white 1.3 MT. last saturday we went to honda alabang at ayos naman yung paguusap namin. sa tuwa ko may na missd ako itanong. eto po ung free items nakalagay sa pricelist october 2010:

my question po ako about sa free items since yung iba my nakukuha pa other than these basic free items.

1st makukuha po ba namin yung car cover? kasi nakalagay for units w/ leather seats since jazz is using fabric seats.

2nd about rust proofing and undercoating, di ko po sya natanong sa SA. nabasa ko dito sa ibang branch daw my libre undercoating o rust proofing. gusto ko rin sana tong dalawa na to. possible po ba na ma-include namin to sa free namin?

3rd fuel. noob question. ano po ba dapat palagay ko unleaded e10 o ung vpower sa shell?

4th ung back up sensor available pa po ba un?

haggle mo pa sila for free rustproofing or hydrophilic paint protection. better if you can get back up sensor for free, kaso sa liit e ng jazz no need for that konting praktis lang sa pag atras magagamay mo na.

ask ka kung pwede free LTO registration.

about sa tint parang mas maganda gawa sa labas kaysa sa casa. tanungin mo kung pwede ipera nalang kung pang free 3m tint mo.

Bro when you say Fit did you mean yung gawa for other countries like US? Fit kase ang counterpart ng Jazz dito sa Asia. Marami dito nagpalit na ng emblem.

To answer your question, wala namang major complains other than the kalampag na nae-experience ng ibang fellow GE owners (although for most of us na-identify namin ito galing sa rear plate holder). All praises ako kahit na-Ondoy GE ko, ayos na ayos pa rin takbo. Medyo hirap nga lang sa matarik na akyatan (expected ko na to with a 1.3 engine) pero di ka naman ititirik as long as you play within the 1st and 2nd gears.

I've seen numerous Fits running about here in manila, yun nga lang I haven't had the chance to ask the owner regarding its performance. Kaya ako nagtune in dito sa thread ninyo. :D Budget is insufficient enough to buy a bnew unit, same goes for used local jazz. Kaya napapaisip ako sa import.

Wala pa kong kilala na nagpo-post dito na naka-import from Japan although napansin ko nga din na marami na din dito sa Manila nun. I think it's the same risks with other imports with regards to conversion from RHD to LHD. Nakapag-canvass na ba kayo sir kung magkano dun? Masyado bang malaki difference to get a used one from here? Kung konti lang difference might as well yung mga talagang LHD na lang kunin nyo IMO.

I agree. :D Actually, almost same lang silang may risk. It'll all depend on what risk you are willing to take. I'm not in a hurry to buy a car naman kasi di siya immediate need, probably for next year pa to. Research research lang ho ako. Thanks for the insights bro.

Mga Sirs, san po nakakabili nung Osram NB? malaki ba talaga difference ng liwanag sa stock? Kasi it's been raining these past few days and kagabi medyo parang hindi ko na makita yung headlight eh. Medium lang yung tint ko sa windshield.

Tapos kayo lang po ba nagpapalit ng bulbs? Tiningnan ko kasi sa manual kung pano, then nung buksan ko na hood, parang 'di kasya kamay ko dun sa space kung asan ung mga kakalikutin.

Both afaik would void the car's warranty. I suggest drive the car first for a few months then proceed with your desired modifications once na comfortable ka na hindi lemon yung nakuha mo

Hehe may phobia ka na ah. Yung sakin din may defect after nung hydro pero hindi katulad ng swirl marks na nakuha mo. Yun ngang yellowy spots na di ma-alis unless ire-paint. Buti naman inayos din nila the following week.

Try Elevo Water Mark Remover. Careful on using this though because it's a mild acid.

I've tried it and it's very effective in removing stubborn water spots on the windshield. Beading of raindrops will be gone once Elevo will be used, if you like beading, be sure to top it off with Glass Science for a beading effect.
