If that is the case!!! siguro kelangan na talaga magpalit ng engine. like in my case, honda hatch kasi ako with a stock engine (carburador). halos lahat ng gas station dito sa area namin (paranaque) naka E10 na. I have no other choice, E10 gasoline lang talaga yung nagagamit ko for now. Kaya pala madali maubos yung gas ko and humihina yung hatak.

the only gas station that I know that doesn't have E10 yet is Petron (sa may pasong tamo ext.).

JMTC

    may iba pa bang choice?

    Mga Sers -

All fuel sold by the big three are unleaded and only the lowest variant has e10 blend.

    fuel with e10
    Caltex - Vortex Silver
    Shell - Super Unleaded E10
    Petron - XTRA Unleaded

    fuel with no e10
    Caltex - Vortex Gold
Shell - Super Premium and V-Power
Petron - XCS Plus and Blaze

The e10 blend is mandated by law hence the oil companies have no choice but to come up with a product such as this.

To address the concern/issue of Sir IAMLawrence - yung kotse nyo na de-carburador hindi sya talaga pwede sa e10 blend otherwise masisira talaga. As early as now, you can switch to the other fuel types that are unleaded and no e10 blend/content.

Also, i have raised the some apprehension/concern to my SA on the use of e10 in my 2010 City. They have acknowledge and recognized that e10 are corrosive sa fuel line but this can be covered by the warranty.

Hence for those who are already out of warranty, maybe it is best to consider switching to those fuel types that have no e10 to avoid the corrosive effect and damage that it may cause to the engine of our cars.

Further, general experience for those who are using e10 - since that they have the lowest octane rating, net effect nya sa engine performance ay hihina ang hatak and normally mag kaka-fuel knock. if this happen switch to those fuel with higher octane rating or use it sparingly like every other full tank e premium o V-power anf ilagay mo (dapat pag-nagpakarga ka eh kaunti na lang laman ng tangke para di masayang yung benefit ng premium fuel). yung lower fuel consumption can be attributed to our tendency na diinan ang accelerator to coup up kasi nga humina o bumagal ang hatak.

Sir polar01, correct me if I'm wrong..
