help naman where are the shops for service, and stores in banawe to source my parts. recently changed my disk brake pads and found out that it was the same as the 2007 civic! 4,300 front pads. grabe ang mahal

I have an 88 Accord LXi (US Version). The old A20A3 engine quit so it was replaced with a B16A with the original 4 spd matic. Ganda ng pagkamount. Everything all works (guages, power locks, sun/moon roof etc.) and the original interiors (pati carpeting orig pa din).

Shares the garage with my 88 Prelude Si with 4 wheel steering.

I'm a newbie, lucky i've found this accord forum! im actually on research regarding accord 1996 japan model na binebenta sa akin dito sa las pinas, 79,615km ang mileage and okay naman makinis. Ok po ba sa 180K ang price ng ganito? What does japan model means? marami ba pyesa nito sa Pinas? What are the advantages of buying this? Please need advice.. This might be my first time to own a car, they say is expensive to maintain?

Of course! Pag may kotse ka walang katapusan ang gastos. One after another gusto mong dagdag sa laman ng kotse at sa accessories ng engine. Anyway, be careful when buying a gray market car (imported) you might have a problem finding a parts. Do your homework first before jumping that car. Good luck to you.

Is the car a conversion (rhd to lhd) if so, do check on how the car was converted 1st. Now the local version is similar to the JDM and Euro. I just sold my 96 Accord VTi-S but it had Euro specs. One of the best cars I owned but I had to give in for my younger siblings so I got them a Nissan Highway Star (from Australia) which has a QD32 Turbo Diesel plus its the only one in the country...so far.

The 96 Accord is easy to maintain. Lots of parts available be it surplus, replacement or original. Nice worry free engine (H22 provided its a VTi), great ride and handling. Super lamig ang aircon. If it's an automatic it will do 9kms (city driving) to a liter despite its 2.2 power plant and 4spd auto tranny DEPENDING on how you drive. Since it has an electronic tranny, you don't have to depress the gas pedal do deep. Give it a tap and that thing will move. Regular scheduled maintenance (tune up, change oil etc) every 3-4 months depending on your usage.

At 180k that's OK depending on the condition on the car. Check mo muna the entirety of the unit. Kung conversion yan, as I said, check the way it was converted and the under chassis. The going rate now is somewhere in the 180k-230k area depending on the unit (kung stock or dressed up). I sold mine at 180k with the original leather interiors and all the nice convenience packages.

You won't go wrong with the 96 Accord. It's a great car to have. I'm actually toying with the idea of getting one again baka next year or upgrade to a 98-00 model na VTI-L naman.

You'll enjoy it as much as I did!

Bought our family this 94mdl Accord. After running for about 4 months to date some totally worn-out parts were replaced since it's 2nd hand. Good thing the net was helpful and I was able to find it's manual. Now I have details on parts and maintenance.

Just one quick question for those who acquired the same model. Where can I buy an 80A battery fuse. Still no luck in finding one. Currently our mechanic just used a wire for a temporary remedy and am aware that it would not last that long. So for all accord owners any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

    musta po,

accord user din ako, 1992 2.2L LX US model. owned by my in-laws, pinapagamit sa amin ng wife ko. di pwede ibenta coz tax free nung pinasok, almost 1M ang tax pag binenta, so pinapaluma na lang.

eh since mahilig ako sa kotse, na maintain ko sya although hirap makahanap ng parts. had to order some from the US pa. simpleng air filter wala dito, kahit sa honda dealers. was able to get 1 from magallanes pero last na nila, that was 2 years ago.

was also able to get some suspension parts from a shop on president ave going to bf pque. minsan nakakaswerte ako na may parts ng 1994-1998 na compatible sa car ko. yung brake shoes ko, similar sa pang CRV.

also had to get a turn signal assy and side view mirror from the US.
