Medyo hassle lang mag push-start kase ang tigas ng brake pedal. Worry ko baka may vacuum leak or something.

but lahat naman ng mga kotseng push-start ay matigas ang brake pedal. lumalambot lang siya pag nag-start na makina.

Mirage namin malambot lagi yung brake when push-starting.

And the stiff/hard brakes only happen kapag matagal naka park/off, like overnight. Otherwise, malambot yung pedal.

Matigas kase talaga, extra effort tuloy when starting.

Modern cars have power assisted brakes already ... read your manuals ... there's an important reminder there on what to do if engine shuts off while the vehicle is still moving ...

my old drive's brake belt (diesel) snapped. on the road.
it was horrific, literally jumping on the brake pedal..., to little avail.
but Guardian Angel was there.

Out of curiosity,
1 month ko di nagagamit si RS, so triny ko start using my pinky finger sa brake pedal then push start. Nag start naman and malambot naman brake pedal.

Brake pedal is stiffer talaga when engine is off diba? How stiff, now that's relative. Have it checked for your peace of mind.

The 1st thing ill check is the brake switch - dapat kaunting apak lang sa brake pedal from rest position(around 5mm max.) eh umilaw na dapat brake lights.

6mm+ and i would DIY re adjust the brake pedal switch...

Mga first 0-10mm ung malambot na feel sa brake pedal.

Then, the longer you depress the pedal the harder it gets especially if wala vacuum assist since you are fighting spring tension.

If sa first few mm na di nag start oto, napapa diin ka na sa brake pedal, making you think na need mo pa mag exert/matigas pedal.....

Papa-check ko na lang sa next PMS. Hassle lang kase malamang paiwanan yung car, or worst sabihin normal lang.

Kase matigas talaga, parang yun nga, kapag pinump mo yung brakes while the engine is off, ganun katigas every time na mag engine start kapag overnight or more.

So kadalasan accessory mode lang nangyayari imbis engine start.

Baka may vacuum leak nga or something.

Pero so far ok naman braking power, kanina first time ko na-experience yung ESS dahil biglang may nag cut sa lane ko.

Any help mga bossing, kung may alam kayo na available na unit for RS variant - cosmic blue metallic sa any dealer from Manila or Northern Luzon. Unit to be paid in full. Dami ko na nakausap na agent but it seems di sila interested mag assist.

Sounds like an early sign of a failing/defective brake booster or leakage. Have it checked ASAP. Dont wait for your next pms. I would be pretty nervous if I were you because it’s already unsafe for road use.

Normally, you simply rest your foot on the brakes and you can push start the engine. In your case, you need to put a lot of force on the brake pedal to push start the engine and most of time it goes straight to the accessory mode if you dont step hard enough.

By the way, you can always have it checked at another casa, if you are not confident with your current one.

If yan suspect mo, may check valve yang brake booster line. Baka faulty or leaky. Daming possibilities eh..

Ahh basta hindi diesel kasi medyo makakatipid ako ng 2 pesos kung lilipat ako ng petron from shell unleaded lang naman pinakakarga ko
