My friend has a manual Jazz and we traded cars for a day when I was teaching my sister to drive a manual.

The MT Jazz is such a fun car to drive! Power is more than enough for the light chassis, handling and braking are superb, and the car just loves being driven hard and tossed around corners.

It's both a fun and practical car since it's very spacious with versatile cargo configurations and a surprisingly pliant ride for the metro's potholes.

MT is pretty bare though. You can upgrade the HU but the drab plastics inside are there to stay (it has none of the piano black and soft touch stuff on the VX).

Overall, still a very good buy if you're looking for a practical fun car. I'd pick it over a Mazda 2 or Fiesta Ecoboost just for the sheer fun of a manual.

Maganda talaga ang jazz. But strangely I知 seeing only few of them on the roads. Yaris din, wala masyado akong nakikita. Mas madami pa akong nakikitang fiesta at mazda2 dito sa amin.

Hatchbacks in general don't sell very well in the Philippines - especially if the sedan versions are compelling, as in the case of the City and Vios.

The Mazda 2 and Fiesta were both designed as hatchbacks and the sedan versions don't look as good and aren't as spacious as other subcompact sedans which is why the hatchbacks sell better. But looking at the big picture, even if you combine the sales of all the subcompact hatches, they still wouldn't overtake the City's sales for example.

People also associate hatches as "smaller/cheaper" vehicles - which is why entry level cars like the Wigo, Mirage, and Eon sell well despite the hatchback body. The only big hatchback that has found some semblance of success is the Mazda 3 hatchback which sells just as well as its sedan counterpart.

Hatchbacks are good daily cars but a sedan is more practical as a family car.

Gusto ko sana yung VW Golf, kahit yung 1.4T lang. It痴 built quite well. Much better than my Fiesta or the Jazz. I even like its interiors better than the Mazda3 hatchback.

inspect the door's weather seal, for tears. it's the rubber thingee running around the inner lip of the door.
has your door's inner panel been opened, ever? the guy might have re-installed the plastic protective cover inside, wrongly.
has that door ever had an accident, the repair of which was not up to snuff?
look under the carpet. are the drain plugs still intact? it might be easier, if you looked at the underside of the car instead.

Bro jigeloh: I Had the same watery problem before on my civic fd2. It turned out the that butyl tape aka "katol sealant" of the plastic covering of the inner door had already lost its adhesiveness thus allowing water to seep in the car's cabin.

If this is the case, the best remedy is to buy a "katol sealant" from your suking car supply shop. the 1st thing to do is to carefully remove your car's door panel. the next step is to clean & remove the old butyl putty from the plastic sheath & then re-apply the new butyl paste to it again. once done, plaster the elastic sheet back to the door shell in order to make your car's interior water proof anew.

Medyo matrabaho siya if you diy it pero am sure hindi na water compromised ang integrity ng car doors mo.

Here are some pics of my diy fix-it:

now that i've recalled some details of the procedure (it's been 2 years ago na din pala), i have to correct myself. you stick the butyl tape to the car door shell not on the plastic cover. i had it backwards last night.

    Hi guys, need some help:

I recently bought a 2018 Jazz V CVT and yung under hood nya has no insulator. I checked a 2014 V CVT and meron syang insulator na naka install.

I asked my SA and according to him wala daw talaga but I知 still skeptical. The hood kasi is very hot kahit saglit lang ako nag drive. I checked the net and most ng nakita ko may insulator but not sure if it is a 2018 model.

To all 2018 Jazz V owner out there pa confirm naman if meron or walang hood/bonnet insulator yung unit nyo? Thanks a lot!

You won't need it. It's more for sound deadening. BMW has removed em in new Ms...for lightening, better heat dissipation...& more growl. You're in good company.[emoji4]

Your ahente is correct. No hood insulator for 2018 models.

Thank you! So it was removed on the newer models. I guess no need to worry now.
