Another noob question from a newbie car owner: jazz vx cvt yong sakin,is it true na pg start ng engine medyo patagalin muna bago idrive at pgkatapos i drive wag muna patayin ang engine?? For what reason? Nasabi lng sakin ng ofcmate ko.dont know if its true. Sakin kasi pg start ng engine drive agad, tapos pgnapark ko na ,off ko na kaagad ang angine.

You can drive off right after starting without worry with modern engines & transmission.

My preference is, on first start in the morning, to wait for the engine to idle settle down, proceed slowly until I've reached an arbitrarily set distance (mine is less than 1 km) then I operate normally. Most times I wait for another 1-2 minutes before moving off. On the other side of the world, New York black car drivers warm-up their cars for 15 minutes before moving, claiming long engine & transmission life.

You can shut off your Jazz right away as long as you don't rev the engine right before cutting ignition or running at sustained high speeds or running up a mountain, in those cases I'd drive around at low speeds for a few minutes to cool the engine a bit.

Start engine, wait about 30 seconds or less or don't wait at all. Drive slowly (less than 2000 rpm) until engine reaches normal temp (about 5-10 minutes or less depending on weather). Any more idling and you're just wasting fuel.
