hello fellow jazz owners! Nagsubmit na sa kin si Honda Greenhills ng quotation for my 60km PMS (actual mileage is only 7k+). Here's the breakdown of cost

    PARTS TO BE REPLACED:
    Cartridge, oil filter 433.17
    Element Assy., Air 895.00
    Belt, Alternator 870.00
    Element Filter 2,217.60
    Washer Drain 14MM 28.82
    TOTAL 4,444.59

    MATERIALS TO BE REPLACED
    BGCVTF Conditioner (325ml) 1,150.88
    Honda Semi-synthetic 1,610.48
    KMC-PMS 280.32
    Honda Brake Fluid 352.92
Engine Block Oil Gallery Cleaner 560.00
    Fuel Injector Cleaner 560.00
    TOTAL 4,514.60

Ano kaya ang pwede optional dito? TIA
    BGCVTF conditioner? what's that for!!!
would you settle for cheaper pure mineral oil?
fill up your brake fluid reservoir before you bring it to the shop, and warn them to stay away from it.
engine block oil gallery cleaner? optional yan sakin.
fuel injector cleaner? just fill up with caltex. heh heh.

    the oil filter, always replace.
the air filters, some say replace, others say clean and re-use.
replace alternator belt? only if there are wear and tear marks, like cracks.

    good luck, po.

I need help. There is some kind of cracking in my headlight affecting its perfoance. I do not know whats causing it.

The dealer refused to replace my headlight as it is not covered by their warranty, only the engine & electrical parts are covered.

The car is only 1 year old and insured.
I dont think the damage is repairable. Please advise.

since you did not upload the picture, i can only guess.
if the headlight housing is cracked, enough for you to say, it is affecting performance,... i believe you should have it replaced.
ask your insurance guy if it is included.

Sorry, newbie here, cant upload photos yet.

I am left with these options:
    1. Break them and mag claim sa insurance.
    2. Buy an aftermarket headlight.
    3. Insist that it should be replaced for being defective?

Possibly hit by a rock while driving? Sorry hard to say based on the pics.

Best option contact your insurance provider if headlight has some form of physical damage.

it looks like something hit it and broke it.
i will argue that it be covered by insurance. i do not see how it can possibly fall under "wear and tear".

question... how often do you need to do engine flush?

I recently asked for a quotation for my 6th month PMS. things I find questionable are engine flush, miscellaneous items, and car care kit. what's the difference between miscellaneous items and car care kit? heheh.

i have never had engine flush done in our (non-honda) cars. the oldest is pushing 13 years. no problems.

You don't really do engine flush unless you were remiss in changing oil at regular intervals ... like say not changing oil for 20T kms or used a really thick oil ... car care kit are usually lubrication for the hinges and power window ... miscellaneous is rags, gasoline for cleaning parts, more rags ...

Had my Jazz inspected today at the casa since I noticed a slight humming vibration when stepping on the gas pedal. It started after the casa finished my 3.5 year PMS. They were not able to find anything wrong with the vehicle, and even did a test drive saying they did not feel the vibration, or that it was normal. They rotated the wheels during PMS, so I requested them to rotate it back and somehow the humming vibration was reduced, but I could still feel it. I also felt the same faint vibration on the floor of the front passenger side during test drive. FYI, there was no vibration of the steering wheel.

I am now thinking the vibration is related to the stock wheels and they suggested that I go for wheel balancing and alignment, and even wheel replacement since mine is already 42 months old (with 58K in odometer). Is this a correct assumption? Your inputs and comments are highly appreciated since I have no idea how cars work and when to replace car parts.

if the vibration relates to vehicle speed, it's probably the wheels or tires.
if the vibration relates to engine rpm (naka-neutral, driver guns the engine), it's not tires. it's probably engine.

if none of the above, it's probably something else.
we once traced our engine noise to a loose air cleaner cover...
time and again, someone volunteered in these threads, of something loose moving about in the glove compartment or the rear trunk..
a colleague once complained of whishing sound in the open road. brought it to the casa, only to be told, "naka-bukas po nang kaunti ang rear window ninyo".

    happy hunting.

Thank you sir. I guess its more on engine rpm then, since I can feel the vibration regardless of speed.

Hopefully its nothing and I'm just getting paranoid, or my foot became extra sensitive to the slightest vibrations [emoji23]. I'll just monitor for any change in intensity.

i had my PMS done sa casa and i noticed there is a tiny light under the a/c, on top of the coinholder/cupholders sa center. it’s blue and on lang sya whenever nakaon un headlights or park lights ko. ngayon ko lang sya napansin so i was thinking kung may nagalaw ba nun PMS o it was there all along sobrang dim lang kaya d ko napapansin. para syang may maliit na butas lang at nakikishare ng blue light sa display. meron ba nito talaga ang GK/ vx navi? d din kasi sya namention anywhere sa manual.
