Ok let's move on from talking about me to the car.

How's the after sales of Honda? Compared to the other brands. Yes it's more expensive but is the service better?

Also, nagulat ako sa quote ng insurance nila at P50k. Quote sa RAV4 almost P30k lang. Ganun ba talaga?

Tapos hindi rin free yung tint sa windshield, visor type lang yung kasama. May bayad pa pag buong windshield. Should I get another agent/dealer?

a SA friend told me the insurance cost is 2-2.5% of the value of the vehicle...

Sa windshield tint, part lang ang free kung buo plus 3.5k. Aside from tint, free ang mat daw.

Ok naman ang service nila. Every 10k ang maintenance.

Is the 9 speed transmission of crv diesel same as the 9 speed transmission of honda pilot?

And say you will need to run and have done all of the above, I suppose afterwards, it should be towed straight to the service center to have it checked?
If the engine is fine, you can drive it to the service center.

Have them check the transmission fluid, engine oil and differential oil for contamination. Also the CV Joints.

After your review of the honda crv diesel, what can you say about the 9 speed transmission? Is it smooth? Would you recommend the 9 speed automatic transmission?
The diesel is only available with the 9 speed. It's smooth enough, but I didn't have space to drive it fast enough to check engine rpms at speed in 9th gear.

Legroom is longest in class. If you're talking about hip room, possibly. The second row slides back and forth. When it is slid ALL the way back, the C-pillars push you inward.

If the seat is in the "normal" position, where it is in the same position as in the gasoline variant, hip room is decent.

No time or space to do eco-testing, sorry.

Honda will have their media drive sometime this month or next. We'll get some feedback then.

Walang mabili dito sa amin niky, magazines are always 1-2 weeks late here. How does one subscribe to TGPH? Do I have to drop by the office?

MiniStop and Booksale always get it first.

You can subscribe online, I think.

To those who are interested to buy the latest CR-V, do you intend to buy the top of the line 4WD model, which costs 2m?

I'm thinking of just buying the 1.7m model, which is the one before the top of the line. It's 300,000 less expensive, but I don't get the following features:

    1.Honda SENSING
    2.power tailgate
    3. 208mm ground clearance
    4 sunroof
    5. 4WD

I wonder, do you think the above features are worth it for you? Of the 5, I'm most intrigued with HONDA SENSING. I'm not sure how useful it is.

    informative.
but i think, it is for un-obstructed highway driving. i do not think it will be helpful in our typical traffic.

I agree, you'll probably turn off these features in a typical city/traffic driving. Lane assists already in some of the dashcam (Transcend drivepro 220 has it... and its a nice feature but sometimes annoying).

Though dashcams won't steer your car automatically, but Honda sensing would. But I get that this feature may probably be better on roads with less traffic.

Just read Niky's review in the latest Top Gear issue. Basically if you've been following his posts about the CRV on this thread, you won't be missing out on the article. Of course, it's packaged more eloquently with equally good pictures. 😊

One very useful feature of Honda Sensing, not covered in this video is Low Speed Follow (LSF).
Seems made especially for manila's traffic. Some says it's the closest thing to autonomous driving. Too bad it cost 500k over 2.0S which i prefer
