Sakin naman, nakakakita ako at least dalawa per day.
For sure di na siya parang FD na nagkalat sa daan. This new Civic is like the Civic ES, after the EK... umonti Civic ... then came the FD dumami nanaman.
I have an FD fuel consumption isn't exactly the worst. Have you driven an Optra? Or a Nissan N16?
Even with traffic, I average around 8-9km/L. And for a 1.8L sedan, that's already something that I can be proud of.
Although I agree it isn't the world's most problematic-free car. I've experienced faults with the FD, starting with the engine support, the handbrake defect and others more. I don't know though if this can be already a basis of telling that Hondas now have poor quality compared to their old models, but from the looks of it, the answer is close to a yes.
Not just that. Honda lost its market because it's not making fast cars anymore.
If I'm not mistaken, on a straight lien drag, the 2.0S Civic FD will still be behind a Civic SiR, and that thing is made more than a decade ago. And the FD has 400cc more on its engine.
Tignan mo nalang, once Honda offers fast & good-looking cars, pipilahan nanaman yan.
Remember when Honda released the SiR and people have gone crazy? Toyota tried getting their market by releasing a Toms version of the Corolla but it's so ugly the people didn't like it and still grabbed an SiR instead
---
Anyway, the whole Civic lineup can be compared to a person.
It started on its kid years, the EF and the EG. Then it reached its teenage years, the Honda SiR. Where risks are taken, and going fast is the top priority. It got old and became more mature, the Civic ES. Then his midlife crisis came and wanted to become a kid again, the Civic FD. It's fast, but it's not as fast as the old Civic. Lastly, it came to a point where the kid is now an old man. Mature, and wants nothing but comfort and ease. Thus the Civic FB.
It's kinda like the Impreza. Gone are the days where it used to be sporty and fast. Honda probably set different priorities while making the new Civic

sorry again Sir to disagree, 5 of my officemates are using Civic FD's (all girls pa) no rpoblem so far, except of course some of them have already minor scrathes on the bumper sides, side mirrors and etc.
it came to a point that prior to me purchasing the vios my officemate offered her civic to me pero in the end she will keep the car na alng daw kasi wala siyang kahit isang problema.
AFAIK, i may be right i may be wrong but note that very few girls know how to maintain cars properly - and their civics are still in good pristine condition.
I agree to Sir Renzo, i think honda is also maturing as its main market matures. In addition, civics used to be fast cars but those days are gone since of the cars also became fast, hehehehe.
2013 civic saw one in northgate without tint, honestly hanep ang itsura sa loob. di alng talaga kaya ng budget ko pero nagmature lang ako. heheheheheLast edited by brainmafia_310; August 2nd, 2013 at 07:25 PM.

Although owners shouldn't feel sad, at all.
If there's one Civic FB that I really like, eto na siguro. Clean & simple.
