May TONG kasi yung mga jeep dun...and mostly jeepney drivers and traffic enforcers in makati are neighbors (magkapitbahay) or pwede rin mga kainuman lang nila...syempre alangan taluhin mo kapitbahay mo hindi ba? which is a common filipino way of being friends to each other, which is good if in a right way...pero if you're favoring your friends BUT causing inconvenience to people you don't know is bad...i hate to admit but our motherland is getting insane day by day...

    Just wanna share,

The Crosswind has a very simple pre-combustion mechanical injection system. This makes it durable, but the tuning for the turbodiesel Crosswinds is a bit too rich, causing black smoke.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Isuzu's 4JA1 and 4JB1 commonly used on Hi-Landers and Crosswind's are using mechanically driven fuel injection systems, which is hindi monitored ang amount of fuel na iniinject sa makina. So kung mali ang timpla ng injection pump, malamang either bluish or black smoke ang lalabas sa tailpipe. The 1KZ-TE uses ETCS-i (Electronic Throttle Control System - intelligent) pero indirect injection siya, so may pre-combustion chamber pa rin compared to the 1KD-FTV of the hilux and fortuner which is common rail direct injection system. And the injectors on the 1KZ series are computer controlled and it's also utilizing a high pressure pump so diesel injections are precisely monitored by the computer box.

And siguro, yung nabili mong JDM na Hiace was well maintained by the previous owner sa japan, so consider yourself lucky na yang unit na yan ang nakuha mo.

Alterra and D-Max use an electronic fuel injection system. As far as I know, they're even more economical than the Crosswind.

Alterra uses 4JJ1-TC common rail diesel engine.. Yung trooper uses 4JX1-TC (which I think Hitachi was the company responsible for the computer box and CRDi system of the trooper)... Yang 2 engines na yan are both common rail and computer controlled so it's way eco focused than crosswind plus the noise levels of these CRDi's are acceptable for an Isuzu engine (lalo yung trooper pino ang andar)...Pero I don't think they will release a CRDi Crosswind. (which I think they should)...pero kahit sabihin nating CRDi yan, Isuzu is still the hottest brand with ASBUrats....which I can attest to kasi yung kapitbahay namin, pag iniistart yung trooper nila, parang may smoke machine yung bahay nila...without proper maintenance, smoke can be a problem on these diesel brands...

may ginagawa silang style dyan eh, pag sinita ka, you just waive the paper while inside your car alam na nila na you have paid na or something.

Wala ng emission test. You just pay the fine and you're untouchable the next 3 months.

Even if you were not apprehended for smoke belching, you can still pay the 'fine' so you'll have protection for 3 months agains being flagged down for smoke belching.

    Republic of Makati version.

Speaking of smoke emissions, my delivery truck was apprehended in the Pasig area for smoke belching early this year. They took the rear plate of the truck and gave the driver the TOP and a piece of paper with instructions on how to redeem the plate.

So I had the truck tested for emission in a LTO accredited emission testing center here in our place. Then I personally went to the Pasig city hall to pay the fine. But I was told that I should have the truck tested in their own emission testing center in Pasig. That's the only testing center that they recognize. I told them how can I bring the truck to Pasig if it doesn't have its plate. It will just get flagged down along the way and we are based in the province. They don't care, I still need to bring the truck to their testing center.

I just walked out and went home, the next day I just looked for a 'certified' fixer to get the plate. After 3 days and around 2K, I got the plate.
