I read of stories that the people conducting the ASBU doesnt have IDs and yung iba daw ex-policeman. Most of them doesnt know what they are doing, walang training. The only thing they know to is rev your car and make it fail. Most will result in giving money.

Bulag ba and Bingi si Mayor Binay not to see this bulgarang pangongotong?

To make it right, gumawa dapat ang bawat ASBU ng malaking tarp on their post ng procedures how to properly conduct smoke emission. make sure everyone has an ID, ready to give their "MO" and answer questions to ensure the victim, este the owner that this is a plain public service.

and wish ko lang, wag na sila mag cause ng trapik. maswerte ka na na mapadaan ng edsa ng walang trapik tapos, biglang may operation that will start an un-necessary trapik. matrapik na nga, gagawa ka pa ng something para mas magtrapik.

put your ASBU inside your city, wag sa edsa, c5 or slex.

That was the point of my first posts.

The standards of the LTO and DENR tests are to hold the engine at 3500 rpm, but to build-up slowly.

What the enforcers do is to floor the pedal and let go, floor the pedal and let go... up to redline... to create transitory rich conditions which will ensure smoke belching will take place.

Unless the test is done by a certified testing agent in the proper manner, there is no way to ensure they're actually fair. Best is if they catch you, ticket you for failing a visual inspection, and force you to report to a government (not private) testing venue after... not to ticket you and force you to pay to the Makati City Government based on their testing.

It's okay by me if the vehicle fails on its own lack of merit. But if they game the tests this way, it's inherently unfair.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Ang problema kais sa mga g*gong yan eh prejudiced kaagad pumara ng sasakyan, kumbaga basta nakakita ng mga Crosswind, Hiace, L300, Adventure and etc eh paparahin agad even though the car is in good running condition, basta alam nila na diesel eh siguradong yari ka. I pass by C5/Kalayaan area almost daily kaya lagi ko nakikita yang mga g*gong yan.

I dont think, my mali sa ASBU, the thing is dapat walang areglo or kotong, so that yung talagang super mausok ay mahuli and ipaayos.
at gumawa sila ng tamang procedure how to conduct proper smoke belching test.
bro IMO sila talaga ang mali. first of all dapat inuna nila yung mga bus at jeep.. di hamak na mas makapal at maitim buga ng mga usok nun.. pangalawa sige sabihin natin walang areglo on the spot ng pag huli pero dun sa pagkukuhanan mo ng lisensya / plaka mo itetesting ulit ang oto mo sabay sablay na naman sa kanila.. bro never ending yung ginagawa nila wala talagang makakapasa sa kanila kahit anong linis gawin mo sa auto na tinatapakan hangang mag redline..

Before I used to own diesel fed L-300 and Adventure and I won't dare take them to Makati unless it was evening. Whenever I had to transact there in the day I would use our gasoline fed ride.

I nid to go to edsa pa para lang umiwas even yung destination ko is Marketmarket.

Nahuli nga pala ako ng makati 5 years ago, It was my brothers pickup. Inaareglo pa nila ako nun for P500 but that time wala na talaga akong pera. so ang ending I need to pay 1k sa makati, malapit sa fire station. I went there and I have this money for the fine. There is this guy, (yellow boy) and asked me ano kailangan ko. Sabi ko tutubusin ko yung plaka. He asked me for the 1K for the fine, mabilis yung pangyayari, so I gave him 1k. After a few minutes, hawak na nya yung plaka ko and a receipt.

I can see cars that run on gas na napakausok. And yung nga, kahit isang bus, or jeep wala akong nakita na pinara nila.

Bakit di na lang sila maglagay ng sign, for DIESEL CARS ONLY!

Walandyo,- ito nga ang ginagawa sa LTO Emissions Testing nuong magpa-test ako last week for my van's registration...

Good evening... Newbie po ako sa site nA ito...

UPDATE lang sa mga AssBU sa Makati.

Nung friday (March 16, 2012) nasa taxi ako and napadaan ako sa ilalim ng magallanes interchange (yung sa may papuntang OSMENA HIGHWAY or PASAY) and napansin ko na traffic ng sobra dahil sa road repairs na ginagawa sa may San Andres part ng OSMENA. Dahil dun, wala itong mga AssBU na ito (take note 10AM po ako nandun sa vicinity nila and I didn't see any one of them). (If I'm not mistaken, yung southbound lane na may AssBU is yung pagbaba mo ng tulay ng buendia onwards the SKYWAY entry.

Or they finally stopped that stupid and harassing apprehension of diesel "SMOKE BELCHING daw" vehicles. Kasi I saw din sa FAILON NGAYON na tinackle na ni TED FAILON itong SMOKE EMISSION TESTING sa kalsada although I wasn't able to watch the whole show. Ngayon lang March of this year ko nakita sa TV yun.

Any TOYOTA INNOVA diesel owners here? Pinara na ba kayo ng mga AssBU na ito while driving your Innova D-4D?

So far, i've never seen any. ASBU(rat) favorites are the Crosswind, Mitsubishi Adventure/L300/FB and various delivery trucks.

I can't blame some fortuners out there...Yung iba kasi umuusok na eh pero I seldom see a fortuner spewing smoke...pero once i was travelling along ROXAS BLVD. and may mga ASBUs din pala dun sa may malapit sa heritage hotel. The Adventure in front of me was flagged down. But the Navara beside it and my innova was ignored by them...i also noticed that they don't flag down Hi-ace 2006 onwards. But the old ones are flagged down...
