- gumigitna sa dalawang lanes
- riding the clutch pag traffic
- using her cellphone, di makali pag may text or tumatawag..
- ayaw magbigay sa mga sumisingit, parang jeep, gigitgitin pa

My older brother use to do that (except the cellphone), until I just got tired and told him to drop me off immediately to the nearest bus stop. I told him that I would like to grow old and see my grandchildren not splattered in the windshied or shot by another deranged driver like him. His a lot more calmer now, but still a reckless driver. I would hate to see his insurance premium with 2 DUI, 1 reckless driving and 2 accident.

i hate those who beat the intersection at that time when all directions are stopped and waiting for the next green light...kakabwisit.

i hate those who drive frickin slow sa fast lane.

rainy season na naman. kapag me ulan at dapat paganahin ang wipers, di ba dapat naka low beam headlights? pero yung iba naman ay hazard lights ang naka turn on. tapos biglang liliko sa kanan o kaliwa...ikaw na nakasunod ay malas kung hindi ka listo at me sapat na distance between you and this vehicle...madulas pa naman ang daan...

That's the purpose ng Hazard Lights... you are supposed to keep safe distance from the vehicle with hazard lights ON.

Mag signal to overtake, tapos ang bagal naman. Halos singbagal ng supposedly inunahan niya, or slower...

Busina before the light turns green, or as it turns green...when that individual honks at me and they hog the lane (usually they do), I honk at them the same honk pattern they gave me at the stop light...

Driving really slow, slower than tricycles or pedicabs...and the one to your right is a jeepney, on a two lane road, tapos magbababa yung jeepney just as you're about to pass the slow driver...

Truck making a turn on a tight intersection, and others NOT yielding, causing more traffic and a possible accident/sabit sa truck...

Motorcycles who cut you left and right, tapos ang bagal pa pag naunahan ka na. Sometimes I want to get myself a handheld air horn (think NBA) tapos when that motorcycle driver passes me, I'll pass him and open the window, sabay let the decibels loose!

Busses who stop diagonally on two lanes just to let one passenger off, or wait until they pick up more...

Jeepneys that stop on the pedestrian lane even if it's green, just to get more passengers...

I could go on and on, but I think the worst is making lagay sa driver's license test, this is where all of the above starts I guess. Worse, some people learn from others' bad habits...

That's the purpose ng Hazard Lights... you are supposed to keep safe distance from the vehicle with hazard lights ON.

IMO, ang alam ko ang purpose ng hazard lights ay pag me emergency o me diprensya ang sasakyan kya mabagal ang takbo, o kaya me road hazard o kaya ay nasa road shoulder na at nakahinto ang sasakyan. pero pag malakas ang ulan at automatic na sa driver ang mag turn on ng hazard lights ay hindi na yata ito ang correct usage...tapos biglang liliko sa kanan...nabibigla tuloy yung sasakyan na nasa kanan dahil walang turn signal na nakita. kasi naka on ang hazard lights nung offending vehicle...dapat he lets other drivers know his intention in advance by using the signal lights correctly...then less accidents are bound to happen...

You mean turn off the hazards and use the turn signals. Pag malakas ulan, headlights should be turned on without hazards, unless parked or disabled sa gitna ng daan.

One thing we need to learn is to ignore those people who do these things that irritate you. Less stress, more concentration on driving, and less accidents possible by relaxing.

Naaliw ako sa mga posts. The reason I started this thread is so that we would have exchange of ideas on the bad traits of pinoy drivers and make us be aware and maybe guilty tayo sa iba then we can avoid doing it again. Ako kasi guilty talaga sa iba like texting (kahit di na ko tumitingin sa fone ko while texting - memorize na keypad). I appreciate the honesty of some of us kasi by accepting our mistakes, that is the first step in doing the correct thing next time.

I just remembered, a news crew of ABC 5 died (all of them) just 2 nights ago yata yun. I wonder, were they practicing good driving habits? Experience ko kasi last month in the Isuzu challenge, on our way home, the isuzu designated drivers drove me back home from pagudpud. DAMN! Their drivers are soooooo reckless!!! driving in the night with heavy rains on makipot na hiway like it was just a game. racing all over the ilocos roads down to manila. Tapos kinukwento pa ng driver namin na marami na silang nasagasaan (dead children and animals) and one of their officemates almost died in one of their road tests!!! What stupidity! Hindi pa rin sila matuto. Magaling kung sa magaling sila mag drive pero taking unnecessary risks, life is so cheap for them. Inis na inis ako. Talk about irritating!

Pero once you learn to easily forget their mistakes, you'll be less stressed. My dad is hyper tensive and he has no choice but to let it pass, and I learned from his ways. Minsan nga tinatawanan na lang niya, dahil realistically speaking, I think my dad is right when he said wala na pag-asa ang driving habits ng Pinoy.

Imagine mo na lang kapag foreigner ka't bumisita ka dito. Siguro kapit na kapit ka sa handlebars habang umaandar yung sasakyan, pawis mga palad ng kamay mo't nararamdaman mong tumitibok yung puso mo sa kaba.

Like my dad said, kapag nainis ka, ikaw ang talo. Wag ka na mainis, just drive.

yes, you got it right. Marami nang nakulong sa kanila, nabugbog ng taong bayan. No, they don't get away with it. The company pays for the damages and they do the time. Ang pinagtataka ko, parang walang ginagawang move yung management to address safety. Kasi ganun pa rin sila mag drive. Beats me.

Luckily hindi lahat ng jeepney drivers ganun. Mas madalas nga lang ma-encounter yung mga makukulit.

Pag PUJ ang gumagawa nun, I tend to think na andami na nilang nag-aaawan sa iisang ruta, nagkukumahog maka-boundary, kaya kung anu-anong stunts ang natutunan para lang makarami. Lalo na sa Marcos Highway, grabe sumayaw yung mga jeep dun, traveling at 100-120 kph fully loaded.

Ang tanong....me solusyon pa ba sa problema nating ito???
Parang ang daming root causes nito:
- dicsipline
- education
- implementation (we have enough laws)
- infrastructure
- pride (dami maangas na drivers)
- di lang government ang me responsibility dito...lahat tayo

ouch...isa ako sa mga pumipilit lumiko dun..personally, yung harang dun pointless...sa vista verde lang kase ako, wala naman cguro problem kung open yun e. traffic lang pag uwian..yung paglagay ng harang nde naman naka ease ng traffic e.

Actually, the barriers were put there kase naaabala yung mga derecho lang ang takbo sa Felix Avenue. Yung jeeps kase stay on the right side to pick up passengers from Karangalan Ave. (I don't know what it's called), tapos isa pa ulit don sa waiting shed, tapos meron pa ulit don sa tapat ng Vista Verde. So yung mga lumalabas ng Karangalan, kinakain nila yung left lane para maiwasan yung jeeps (ayaw maghintay, mga prinsesa't prinsipe yata). So ang naaabala pa yung mga dapat derecho lang naman ang takbo at walang business sa Karangalan, Vista Verde, at sa mga pasaherong nagkalat don. Nagiging obstacle course na rin sya kase nga marami ring paliko ng Vista Verde.

Pag walang nagpupumilit lumabas don, actually nakaka-ease sya ng traffic. Dapat yata palitan ng spike strip yung barrier.
