i take it that you have never been in a confrontation in your lifetime where you had feared for your life or the lives of your love one. i have not, but i can guarantee you, i'd shoot first before they shoot me. in our society almost everyone who has money has access to guns, so you never know what the other guy/gal is carrying inside his/her coat.

confrontation not yet and thank God for that because I don't intend to put myself in a situation like that in the first place. civility is my order for any day. threats yes. but fortunately, i realized that bringing a gun around is useless when threatened by a determined killer. it did absolutely nothing for my machismo or my sense of security. fact is, i became more concerned about my safety when I was still bringing a gun.

but that's just me bro. i guess i realized that bringing a gun does nothing for me.

so whatever yanks yer chain.

peace.

Saka may kanya-kanyang parking ang college, highschool, gradeschool, at meron ding free for all parking areas.

Take note at the grade school where there are numerous no parking signs just in front of the theater near the grade school entrance pero triple parking naman doon. Daming umiinit ng ulo doon as they park there boxing in the other cars na di na makaka-alis.

There are times na I go there at ang hirap talaga maghanap ng parking maski malayo na sa grade school. Buti na lang na Jazz ang car ko at napapark ko sa places that a short car would fit in.

Sana all would use a school bus service rather than each student bringing their own car. Just think, 1 school bus carrying 10 students reduces 9 cars on the road. So 10 school buses removes 90 cars on the road.

^^ Bro,

The thing is, for the college students, almost 2 is to 1 na ang car ratio, sa panahon ko pa yun. Baka ngayon 1.5 is to 1 na? Actually, except for the cemented area in front of the grade school ( I think this is exclusive for the GS students use ) the other uncemented parkings nearest the area are free for all.

Maybe the high volume of cars belong to the college students. Anyway, the woman did say she went there to park at 9am.

If it isn't bad enough to have to worry about criminals, rebels, wayward cops but now also gun-toting ex-Queen lead singers too. tsk tsk.

Funny how the PPSA members actually saw that such a statement was innocuous.

The very first post I gave here is post #2 where I said to the threadstarter:

"You should also post this e-mail or letter to PPSA".

I've followed this thread from post No.1 up to now, in both TSIKOT.COM and GLOCTALK.COM.

As far as I am concerned, PPSA does not tolerate and will not tolerate Mr. U's action with regards to violation of their code of ethics, rules and regulations. In the glocktalk forum, PPSA will give a reprimand ( bahala sila kung anu yun) to Mr. U for his conduct, for involving the organization's name, and for even declaring that he was a gun-owner. PPSA does not hold Mr. U as blameless and even 80% of members of gloctalk (all gun owners) do not agree with what Mr. U did.

I also notice someone saying about " shooting first before being shot at"...man, better talk to Eldon Maguan first before declaring this. Eldon is now a permanent resident of LOYOLA MEMORIAL PARK. His assailant, Mr. ROLITO GO is a permanent resident of NBP. The cause...2 cars, 1 parking slot in San Juan, an arrogant student and a hot headed gun-owner. This happened in 1991.

Thanks.

I wonder what you really would do when a pudgy little brown man in a Chevy Suburban with a 2 digit plate, gives chase, with blinking lights, passes you, abruplty stop in front, gets out WITH HIS RIGHT HAND NEAR HIS HIPS, approaches your window, pushes against the door of your car so you can't open it and starts beratting you. This happened to me.

All I could say was "SORRY SIR, Di na po Mauulit".

Thanks again.

What'd you do to get his attention? Just curious.

Here, if that pudgy little brown man tried that stunt, 50-50 he's liable to get shot for acting in a threatening manner if he approached a car with a gun owner inside.

Real cops would never approach like that. First, they'd have backup. Then, they'd already have guns drawn and leveled at the suspect. They wouldn't approach the vehicle either because the driver may be crazy enough to run them over. Rather, they'd shout at the driver to carefully get out and not make any sudden moves.

Also, plainclothes/off-duty policemen rarely do traffic stops even if a stupid driver cuts them off.

Add: There's also a good chance the guy with the Suburban will get reported and prosecuted. Here, there's so many watchdogs, it's hard to be unnoticed. There's so many people willing to call the cops if something like that happens. The cops would drop what they're doing and come charging in.

hmmm...what did you do to him? judging by your description he must be a government employee?

i just hope and pray this would never happen to me. i have a tendency to lose my temper especially when provoked. what would i do in that situation? if it were only the little pudgy brown man, God knows what would've have happened..........a person approaching me and seems to be reaching for something on his waist constitutes a threat to me. if there were more than one little pudgy brown man, i'd tuck my tails between my legs, walk away, and live for another day. now if they just want to box, that is another story..

Don't even know. Pero when a man has a ready hand near his hips, don't even think twice. Just say sorry to get him off your back. When you get home think of your options. In this case, I didn't have any since driver/bodyguard ng isang congressman yun tao. remember, i said 2 digit plates on an imported car ( at that time, wala pang Chevrolet Philippines). These guys are licensed to kill. Make one false move and you end up being the owner of a 6ft x 4 ft x 6 ft deep lot along Sucat Road.
The thing is, I have learned my lesson from confronting people like these. Even reporting them to the police will not help. Kaya nilang baligtarin ang istorya with you ending up as the aggressor. Alam naman nyo dito in da bayan op juan de la cruz.

OT:

If I'm not mistaken, Maguan entered a NO entry street causing a near collision with Go's car.

Kaya pala ChevyChaser call sign mo. he he

dapat siguro sa mga traffic altercations settle it the old fashioned way: mano y mano hehehe

chevychaser, i feel you bro. but i would still report that to the police. grave threats ang kaso nun. but then again, i cant blame you if you let the incident go. whats impt is you walked out of the incident alive, albeit shaken, at least alive.

the point is, kahit sabihin pa natin na nagkamali pa si maguan entering a no entry road at nakabangga pa, was it enough justification to kill him?

I think it was Go who entered the one-way street not Maguan.

It's the other way around, sir. Mr. Go was going the wrong way when Mr. Maguan blocked him. Walang gusto mag bigay. The area was the section of Wilson St. fronting Alex III.

Just my point in my early posts. Wala ako kinakampihan at wala ako pinaniwalaan sa kaso ni Taray Mommy at Mr. Camry ng Ateneo. I was pointing out na meron allegations of a threat so dapat si Taray Mommy nag sumbong sa PPSA o Pulis. Instead, she chose to e-mail her friend na nagforward kay RTL who posted the story in this forum. Which incidentally, a thought came about (Habang pa ina-alon ang barko namin last night). Magister was asking how Taray Mommy knew about PPSA. In her letter, she greeted ONE (1) person. She saw the sticker (na ala naman nakalagay na PPSA kung di TEAM ALPHA lang and the shirt na may ARMSCOR Logo. Then at the end of her letter she asks " Kilala N'YO ba siya?. Ba't biglang naging Plural??? Was she refering to a lot of person or an ORGANIZATION? Baka...baka sakali lang....may kilala itong si Taray Nanay sa upper echelons ng PPSA...Hhmmmmm. Mapuntahan website ng PPSA.
