Meron naman. Pero I stay home pag malakas ang snow. Pag mahina, I take the bus or sub -- didn't wanna get snow tires for a leased vehicle anyway. Actually, there was one time nag-hazard yung bus namin -- nagmenor sa rotunda ng intersate dahil may pasaherong nakatulog at lumagpas sa stop.

Sus. Mahina talaga compared to here lalo pag may bagyo which is almost all the time pag storm season. Naguumpisa na nga masira yung NLEX eh built to International standards daw yun at private pa so walang commissions. Its only over a year old btw.

If you'll see my (original) post, I have very strict conditions in using my hazards (typhoon-strength rain sa gitna ng NLEX and only to warn the guy behind me that I'm going UNDER the speed limit) -- but I do use them -- and I've never been charged with a moving violation -- here or there.

But as I said I understand, if not commisserate with the people making the rules. If they put exceptions kasi, mas lalong mahirap iimplement. Kaya pala nakakalito eh!

Curious lang ako. You've driven in the middle of dust AND snow storms? What speed were you doing? Tsaka saan ba meron nun?

Dust(sand) storms happen in the desert if you've been to Nevada, Arizona, California, just to name few. Snow storms happen in the winter like what just happened in the Northeast, Midwest, and Colorado with the winter storms. Speed? I just pulled over to the side since it's better than getting into an accident because you can't see. Heck forget the storms try driving thru heavy fog of the Bay Area when even fog lights seem useless for visibility.

hay people are just so stubborn. you tell them what's the proper way to use the hazard lights, and they tell you that their "own" way is the right thing to do.

never use your hazard lights when driving in the rain, PERIOD. this is the proper thing to do and does not irritate other drivers behind you on heavy downpours.

Whoaa! rainy days are here again.. while traversing the Skyway last Friday (bet. 1-2pm) during a heavy downpour, it REALLY PISSED ME OFF, those drivers using their hazard lamps. this really confuses everyone, what's the real emergency or not.

For me, its enough that i keep my park light on during the initial downpour and put on my lights (lowbeam) if downpour becomes heavier.

Yep. Hazard lamps are for stationary vehicles only. If the weather is that sever, dont drive. Pull over and wait it out.

I always remember this tip whenever I see people using the hazard lights during a downpour

One of my driver always switch on the hazard light when parking or backing. Is this a good practice?

on this part, i am sometimes guilty. na-minimize ko itong practice when i drove our visiting american colleague around the city, and uttered WTF u're doing man, confusing bet your backing out intention w/ hazard light... pero i reasoned out na rin na hindi talaga kadalasan nirerespeto ang umaatras pag pure reverse light lang... on a side note, this is more debatable than using it during heavy downpour. peace.

Nakita niyo na naman siguro kung gaano ka-poor ang visibility during heavy downpour parang kanina, does that mean that a rear fog light is necessary already? I mean... yep, hindi man fog.. but I have had several encounters where cars became more visible when they have their RFLs on rather than just having their tail lights lit up. Dati sobrang lakas talaga ng ulan tapos close to 0% visibility na, the cars with their RFLs aided me to spot them easier than the ones who doesn't have them.

Mahal, but I guess it's now safe to assume that the price you pay for is already worth it?

andyan na yan, daming naghahazard on heavy rains, pero sana common sense lang, wag kang magchange line on hazard or liliko. if you must patayin mo hazard mo muna then signal light.

Kakapalagay ko lang rfl, just in time for the rainy season. Only cost me 1000. 500 for parts and 500 for labor.

The problem is if the driver will make a turn signal but forgets that his hazard lights are on.

Alam ko lang, basic driving technique dito sa atin sa Pinas is "go with the flow"!

    (just kidding)
