This is safer, because it catches the attentions of the oncoming drivers more, than just a steady brake light....

Mahirap mag-hazard kasi yung signalling capacity mo mawawala. Tama na yung naka-on ang HL's mo or fogs if umaga pa.

from what my eyes can see.. the visibility of yellow lights and red lights are about the same.. so when its raining i just turn my park lights on.. and fog lights.. and in really bad weather turn my headlights on.. so that i can still use my signal lights to communicate to other drivers my intention to either turn left or right..

Just like the other day on SLEX I was in the middle lane and an over-zealous motorist two car lengths in front of me in the over-taking lane switched his hazards on the moment it started to rain. In a few seconds, he hit his brakes to slow down and started drifting to the right to exit! I nearly rear-ended him! If he had his hazards OFF and his right turn-signals ON to communicate his intention to switch lanes, he would have lessend the risk of being rear-ended and lessened the risk of a possible multiple collision.

So guys, please use your hazards only when your vehicle is not in motion. It's both confusing and dangerous when you turn them on during inclement weather! Just turn your headlights on please...

Same here, in bad weather where visibility is reduced, I just turn on my park lights and foglights (or my headlights too if it's that bad).

I never use my hazard lights when driving unless my car is stationary.

I use my hazard lights when Im parking just to let the incoming traffic know im doing maniobra. I also use it if I need to make an unexpected stop on the side of a street.

I do not use my hazard lights though during rains, IMHO, turning on the car's headlamp is much safer and should do the job.

Before I was pro "turning on" of hazards light during heavy downpour, but seeing a lot of irresponsible drivers changing lanes with their hazards on made me realize how much more dangerous they have made the roads.
