Same sentiments here.
I'm not a regular air traveler and definitely i avoid the peak travel periods if i set our trips.
Also, how many people here experienced life when PAL was a monopoly and waiting 4-5 hours on a delayed domestic flight in a hot, cramped domestic airport? That was the norm back in the 80s to the early/mid 90s so we still have it better now if you ask me.

NAIA looked good in the 80s though
I admire its architecture until now.

December 28th, 2014 11:02 AM #259on our way home from singapore last week.. PAL.
we were already lined up for baggage check-in.
then this monitor was flashing a message for volunteers who would be willing to give up their seats, for another flight 4.5 hours later. there were no takers. so i asked my son, "anak, tingnan mo nga yon sa desk.."
he goes, and sabi niya, they were looking for 10 daw.. in exchange, they would be getting a free round-trip ticket to singapore..
sabi ko, "anak, ikaw na lang.."
then after a few minutes, sabiko, "tekateka... puede rin ako diyan.."
so, we got two free tickets.. may libreng burger king brunch pa.
a big change from PAL when it was still a monopoly..
