May ganyan magdrive, kahit sa FX. Lalo na yung nasanay na sa hard breaking all the time.

Kita mo talaga yung mga engot na driver on the road, even if sabihin natin na profession nila yan & should know better. Imagine, flooring the accelerator para humataw ng 2 car lengths, then prepreno ng todo todo.... dahil lang ayaw masingitan , whether a competing PUV or kahit na private vehicle (?!?!)

Nakakahilo nga yan, wasteful pa sa krudo.

Yung ginawa ko nun, pagbaba ko bumili ako ng small bottle of Sprite sa 7-11 kasi nasususka na rin ako

    Makalamang. That's their motto.
Although some bus drivers are maingat naman especially the older ones.

Bata at mukang nakabatak lang talaga tong bus drver kanina. Guess they know there's less chance of being flagged down on sunday.

Lto is part of the problem and should be cleaned up as well.

I know, i saw a bus body being built using 2x4 wood, a lot of angle bars and flat bars, plus stainless sheets.
That was in the 90's. May mga branding na mga bus now di ba?

They still do it today when they need to repair the body and other external structures. We have to remember that they have very small budgets for repair and maintenance of their vehicles. That's why so many of them break down, and worse, lose their brakes.

More-so the colorum buses that ply the major routes without any kind of proper documentation. Do we really think their vehicles are inspected and regulated for safety here in Da Pilipins?

Death traps, every one of them.

And no, pulling over and waiting out is not an option. Bangin on the sides.

In the bus case that is on the news, he may have overestimated his skills and ability.

Yes. The "brand" is called: JAPAN SURPLUS.

Those commuter buses and trucks plying the highways in Japan eventually wind up here- and not just as surplus parts, but as reconditioned vehicles. Converted lang from right hand drive.

Sometimes when I go on vacation there, medyo na-lulungkot ako. You have to take the bus for some routes not served by trains & subways, and if nagtitipid ako kasi not worth it kumuha ng JR Pass sa mga pupuntahan ko, I take the long distance overnight buses.

Napapansin ko itsura ng mga buses and trucks na ito when they were in good condition (even some dekotora trucks on the highway) and you realize that these vehicles will eventually be disposed of dito sa Pilipinas. One truck I saw here still had the markings of the former Japanese company that operated it.

It's such a downer to realize na TAMBAKAN LANG TAYO NG MGA BASURA ng ibang bansa, and grateful pa tayo for their... trash (kasi nakamura and/or tipid sa pieza). Marami man magalit sa akin dito saying we are a sh*thole country, well, it's true.

What? You do not deserve to be given a license to drive! You are only confusing other drivers by turning on your hazard lights. Other drivers (those that know how to drive, NOT YOU) will think you have an emergency and you are stopping because that is why ot is called "hazard light", to signal that your vehicle has an emergency and it has now or soon be a hazard on the road. Otherwise how in hell can you signal which way you are going if your hazard lights are on?????

On poor visibility (rain, fog, night time) you turn ON your lights - head lights, front fog lights and rear fog lights. You do NOT turn on your hazard lights.

Sad to say, marami ring kamote drivers at hindi lang kamote riders.
