    What? You do not deserve to be given a license to drive! You are only confusing other drivers by turning on your hazard lights. Other drivers (those that know how to drive, NOT YOU) will think you have an emergency and you are stopping because that is why ot is called "hazard light", to signal that your vehicle has an emergency and it has now or soon be a hazard on the road. Otherwise how in hell can you signal which way you are going if your hazard lights are on?????

    On poor visibility (rain, fog, night time) you turn ON your lights - head lights, front fog lights and rear fog lights. You do NOT turn on your hazard lights.

    Sad to say, marami ring kamote drivers at hindi lang kamote riders.

    Ito medyo ot...pero naisip ko lang. Given na yung proper use of hazard lights alam na natin yan. Pero paano magiging more dangerous ang kamote na nakahazard sa ulan? If you are a prudent driver (defensive driver at that) following somebody na nakahazard in lowvis conditions, wouldnt you stay further away with the assumption that indeed hazard siya i.e. slow down or increase your separation? Potential hazard nga which could suddenly veer left or right (hydroplane etc) or slow down abruptly anytime? Mas kamote yung didikit o magoovertake (dito lang tingin ko issue yung di makasignal left or right) at speed kung totoong low visibility imho. Otherwise generally mabagal at diretso lang takbo kung adverse weather...there's this study before iirc that flashing lights allow you to notice and see farther so attention grabbing siya although pag steady masmadali matancha ang vector (speed, direction, etc). For me personally, i'd rather be able to see the guy and make adjustments rather than mabulaga. Pag nagkabangaan, more than the improper use of hazard lights, e yung kamoteng dumikit at mabilis ang takbo low visibility na nga.

    Pag maulan at nasa Skyway at nagstart mag hazard lights yung iba lumilipat na ako sa lane na walang naka hazard kasi alam ko nde marunong mag drive ng proper yung naka hazard dahil lang maulan. So I guess its a sign not to follow those drivers.

    Well it goes both ways. Let us not mince words. T*nga na nga yung nasa harap tappos t*nga pa din nasa likod e it is an accident waiting to happen. Do not blame the fool behind when both fools are wrong.

    Maraming species ang kamote na driver.

    -meron yung maling gumamit ng hazard light;
    -meron din yung didikitan pa yung engot na naka hazard light. Masama na nga yung panahon eh, di pa doblehin ang pag-iingat.

    Eh di ba yung bus na nakaaksidente sa thread na ito, rear ended a crosswind slowing down because of heavy rain?

    Those drivers who use the hazard light are probably those who don't even signal when they turn.

    AFAIK there is no rules in any international or Philippine driving handbook that states that you have to put your hazard on when its raining hard and the visibility is compromised. Even your car's Handbook doesn't state that. I think this is one of those mistaken rules that has been handed down from a previous older generation of drivers.
    there are also those drivers who turn on their Brights when its raining hard or in a Fog. same drivers who uses the hazard light on heavy rain.

BUS accident again
