Simply unforgivable - racing in PUBLIC streets, endangering fellow motorists and pedestrians.

Just read the supplied links...hehehe, masyadong defensive yung mga bikers. Pati pagkatao nung letter-sender, pinagdudahan.

I think they should just admit that their (or challenge, as they prefer to call it), was not sanctioned by authorities, and next year, dapat asikasuhin na nila yun, by getting the necessary permits, race marshals, videocameras in strategic places and standby ambulances. They should also sanction bikers who drive recklessly and endanger other motorists.

Ariel Primavera left Cehckpoint Sanchez Mira in a jolly mood and was in a group of 3. His buddy in front of him signalled him and the other person to overtake him. In a sweeping curve in the vicinity of Batac, Ilocos Norte, Ariel crashed into the back of a truck parked on the shoulder. He was brought to the hospital where he later passed away.
and they are saying their event was a success?

+1. At least six recordable road injuries, and one death. How can that be considered successful? Safety should have been their first success criteria.

In the first place they should not have been racing in PUBLIC roads. The decision to do their event in public roads together with other motorists and pedestrians already shows their lack of safety awareness.
