Hi Sir jeff_eu8. I noted that you are a level-headed guy. I have some questions to ask, though. 1. May we know your actual connection with Mr. Andy Cheng? Are you a business partner of Starbright? Kamag-anak? Nabanggit mo lang kasi affiliated ka, eh. 2. Are you authorized by Mr. Cheng to post here in his defense / in his behalf? 3. Can you influence his decision on what to do next in relation to this fiasco?
If on no. 1, talagang closely related ka, and YES ang sagot mo sa 2 and 3, I suggest that you convince Mr. Cheng to offer to Apex_i the compromised suggestions posted here. Manggaling na kay Mr. Cheng ang offer. Wag na siyang magtipid and he has to do this fast. Mas malaki mawawala sa kanya if this thing drags on.
If the offer had been made, please post it here. I'm sure many will try to convince Apex_i to accept the offer. Otherwise, the sentiment of the more objective tsikoteers may shift to Mr. Cheng's favor.
If ever the offer and acceptance is consummated, post it here too. And once the promise is fulfilled to the satisfaction of the aggrieved, i-post nyo rin. Sigurado ako, this will do wonders to the reparation of the damage that had been done to the business.

mukhang marami na yung gumagawa ng damage control ah. ewan ko lang ah, sa mga sinasabi ni apex, mukhang PURO PALUSOT lang talaga yung mga sinasabi ni andy cheng at ng kanyang mga alipores. suggestions ko:
1. hingin kay andy cheng yung pangalan ng security guard na sinasabing may hawak ng susi na "nawala". ipa-bloter mo rin yung secu na yun (kung totoo man na ndi na sha pumapasok sa scotchbrite). kung may agency yung secu, pwedeng i-reklamo sa agency.
2. magpapalit ng locks, alarm, security system, sa casa mo ipapalit.
3. dapat change unit. hingin ang total amount ng brand new kia sportage at sa ibang casa kumuha ng replacement. yung unit mo, bilhin ni andy cheng in cash kung magkano man ang brand new tapos kaw na bahala bumili ng bagong kia sportage mo. dahil lantaran yung KABABUYAN at kapabayaan (
("kabayaan" lang daw sabi ni jeff) na ginawa nila sa sasakyan ni apex, dapat talaga palitan ung unit. totoo lang, kung "kapabayaan" lang yun, baket puro palusot pa? nasa china, na-stroke yung tauhan, nawala ang susi, ndi na pumapasok yung guard, etc. tinarantado na yung kotse, tinatarantado pa yung cliyente.
4. kung ndi pwede change unit, ipa-repaint sa casa sagot lahat ng gastos ni andy cheng. hindi lang yung mga na-damage na part (bumper lang daw sabi ni jeff pero kitang kita sa pics na hanggang bubong nasukatan nyo na ng pang-spoiler), buong kotse ipa-repaint mo na, scrape to metal & repaint, pati ilalim. kung gagawin ito, sa ibang casa ng KIA kung meron mang ibang branch na ndi pagmamay-ari nung casa na nagrecommend sa scotchbrite. ipa-interior detailing rin sa casa (ibang branch kung meron).
5. magdala lagi ng abugado tuwing kausap si andy cheng at ang kanyang mga alipores. akala nya siguro dahil bata ka pa (bata ka pa nga ba?) e madali kang utuin at paikot-ikutin ng mga palusot.

di lang naman gasgas nangyari dun e. ultimo mga sulok sulok ng oto na kahit nga nabangga ka minsan is still left undamaged has some paint chips, scratches etc.
key's missing... eh kung ma-carnap yan nung "Guard" na di na pumapasok dba?
original paint is still original paint. badtrip masira ang original paint, tapos ibang tao pa ang nakagawa para sayo... BINAYARAN mo pa para sirain para sayo... oh kita mo nga naman, ka-bait nila ano?
siguro motto nila is "going the extra mile for a client"...that is in a negative way... na naka-fine print.
pero siguro nga ang pag-hingi ng oto is way too much.
baka pwedeng kung sakali ikuha ka na lang nila ng bago, sa kanila na yung sayo, ayusin nila tulad ng sabi nila tas ibenta nalang nila. or pagsawaan nila pag gawan ng pattern. atleast di na mashadong mabigat sa bulsa nila yun... fault naman nila undeniably.

*250k worth of accessories
*an anti-theft engine immobilizer
*a wash over
*lock mech replacement
*interior detailing
*and some cash for the damages...

1. customer ako ni andy 5 years ago, late last year nagopen kami ng shop sa gilmore, which i am managing, pero yung starbright siya pa din ang may ari, the shop is for painting detailing etc, yes i am authorized to post here, and yes i can influence his next decisions on what to do next
2. the last time i talked to him the offer will more or less be:
1. change whole alarm system, ingnition, locks and keys
2. change bumper (not repaint only)
3. clean up the whole car
now for the compensation for all the troubles of mr Apex i
1. full bodykits for his sportage
2. HID kits
3. unlimited detailing/waxing/washing services for the whole year

hindi naman siguro fair yung palitan yung oto, basically 3 ang damage, nawala yung susi, madumi and nagasgas yung bumper, pag naayos yang 3 yan, wala namang integrity damage sa auto, as good as new naman yan, it's not that nabangga namin yung oto yun siguro dapat palitan, WE ARE NOT RUNNING AWAY FROM OUR OBLIGATION, yung tamang compensation lang mga sir

yung susing nawala , nawala talaga, no intention nor plan to carnap mr apexi's car, accidental ang pagkawala nung susi
all along andy was in contact with Apexi para pagusapan yung dapat gawin, hindi naman pinabayaan yung situation kaya andy was surprised that Apexi started posting in different car forums, we never posted anything to our defense kasi nga we cannot defend ourselves dahil mali kami right from the start, what we wanted to let the people know is that right from the start that we were doing our best to resolve the problem
since the ball is on doc teejay's court (Apex_i is Doc Teejay) we'll see what goes next.

Totally agree ako dito. Since the shop took the responsibility, karapatan ng may ari ng Sportage mamili ng bagong shop na gagawa ng repairs sa kotse nya.
IMHO kahit ako, hindi ko na ipapagawa dun ulit, hindi naman excuse yung merong nakasabay na pang showcase na cars yung shop kaya na screw-up yung Sportage. Dapat nung una pa lang, alam na nung shop na busy sila for a show, di na nila tinaggap yung Sportage or ni re-schedule na lang ang detailing.
Sobrang perwisyo pero andyan na yan.... Kung ako sa may-ari ng Sportage, tanggapin na lang ang pinaka resonableng deal from Starbight, put in writing, tapos sa iba ipagawa para walang bias. Mas maganda kung magpirmahan kayo ng kasunduan in front of witnesses in both parties "IN BLACK AND WHITE". Kung pwede nga pa notarize pa sa isang lawyer para legal na legal... Wachatink?![]()

i dont get it, papanong sasabihing nagkamali ng sinukatan e yung sportage nga ang sinukatan in the first place, kaya nga nagasgasan e. nung sinukatan ba yung sportage akala nung tao sorento or carens yung sinusukatan nya that moment? ang layo naman ng itsura ng carens at sorento sa sportage para sabihing nagkamali ng sukat
so malamang yan nung sinabing sukatan mo na yung kia para sa show sinama yung sportage sa pagsukat, pero hindi natapos sukatan dahil nga nalaman na hindi pang show,
talk about customer service. "dodong, etsapwera mo muna yang sportage, unahin mo muna yung sa atin at may show tayo" or something to this effect. kaya pala nang gigitata sa dumi yung oto, e halos 2 buwan nyo yata binasura yung unit ng customer nyo just to prioritize your own. alam nyo palang may entries kayo sa show, dapat ni-re-sked nyo na lang yung sportage at di nyo na muna tinanggap kung alam nyong magagahol kayo sa oras.
tapos magugulat pa kayo at nag-post si apexi sa mga car forums. if you were saying na inaareglo nyo yung problema, bakit umabot ng ganun katagal??? only shows that you were lackadaisical about the whole matter until it reached to this point. nawala pa yung susi... sus!!!

Whew ang haba na ng thread . . . Pero i hope this gets settled na rin in Apex_i's favor. I believe that what is being offered in the table be documented and notarized para merong ipin so to speak. Peace. . .
kung ako may ari nun sportage, hihinge ako ng new sportage tas sa kanila na yun sinukatan nila. kasi kahit na ba sabihin nila na good as new yun pagretoke nila hindi parin original yun paint. sa tingin ko hindi sobra ang paghinge ng bagong unit. tsaka kung ako yun owner ng sportage, parang ang hirap gamitin nun car knowing what happened to it, parang nabakabigat sa loob na habang ginagamit mo yun sasakyan naiisip mo yun ginawa ng starbright dun. kaya hinge nalang ako ng bagong unit kaysa araw araw kong naaalala yun perwisyo na ginawa sa akin ng STARBRIGHT
IMO, it's a fair deal. But the TS has to know whatever happened to his key, and the whereabouts of the security guard to provide some closure. The incident may be repeated, and other customers may be victimized.. the last time i talked to him the offer will more or less be:

One good thing about this incident is that the shop has offered its apologies and offered to make amends. Nowadays, bibihira yung ganun, so I think crucifying the owner isn't warranted anymore.
Hope everything turns out well for both parties.
gusto ko malaman kay Apex_i kung ideya nya yung installation of grills on the first place or sinagest lang sa kanya doon. kasi i have this thing in my gut that tells me na "something's fishy"
pagdugtungtugtungin lang ang facts:
1. may upcoming show yung startbrite.
2. they only have sorrento and carens.
3) nagkataong may "sportage" na magpapakabit ng grills.
batay sa hitsura ng sportage ni doc Apex_i sobrang dumi at may mga silicon at ang daming gasgas at may yupi pa. a well established evidence that the car had been in a lot of activities
when push comes to shove lilitaw lahat yan pag tinira na ng NBI ang lahat ng nagtrabaho dyan within that span of time. pati na yung ayaw pumasok ay makikita lahat yan. maaring pandora's box ito.
kaya tama at dapat lang na ma settle agad ito sa magandang usapan bago lumaki.

2. change bumper lang? e ang daming damage dun sa sasakyan hindi lang bumper. tignan nyo yung pics na post ni apex sa blog nya. full body repaint, scrape to metal, apex's choice.
3. dapat lang talaga na linisin yung kotse, ni-release nga ng napakadumi e.
4 d compensation:
1. full body kits - pwede na, pero sa iba mo ipagawa. siguraduhin na magaling ang gagawa at hindi pipitsugin na shop.
2. hid kits - mura lang to e.
3. unlimited detailing/waxing/washing services for the whole year -
every week mo ipa-detailing, waxing, washing interior at exterior pati engine sagot ni andy cheng PERO SA IBANG SHOP NA MARUNONG MAG-ASIKASO NG CLIENTE NA HINDI BABABUYIN YUNG SASAKYAN MO.
totoo lang, ndi magandang palusot yung nagkamali yung tao ng sinukatan. napakatanga naman pala ng mga tao sa starbright. kung totoo nga na nagkamali, pinatagal nyo pa at pinabayaan yung sasakyan, kung di pa napansin ni apex e hindi kayo gagawa ng paraan. there was an intent to cover up things, no doubt about it. wag na kayo magtaka na nagpost si apex, pasalamat pa nga kayo at hindi kayo na-media. kundi, lagot kayo kay tulfo, at hindi kayo tatantanan ng imbestigador.
