Eto kaninang umaga lang mga 930 sa may papuntang Nagtahan bridge. On the part where there is a flyover going to recto, a white benz with an MPD plate in front was trying to merge. Since i don't want to be a pushover on the road, whenever it's merging i always follow the alternating rule. I always let one car go ahead then it's my turn whether you show the intention of letting me through or not. That's the rule, deal with it. I also don't like giving VIP treatment to "expensive" cars. I treat all vehicles equally(except maybe PUJ's, binabastos ko talaga mga yun kasi manhid mga gunggong na yun, walang mangyayari kung masyado kang mabait sa kanila). Etong si white benz, mukhang nasira yung pride nung di ko siya pinadaan. Mayamaya, nung lumuwag, he slowed down on my right side, gusto siguro magmukhang maangas or baka nagwapuhan sa akin. Di ako nakipageye-contact because that just means you're taking the challenge. So i just keep my eyes on the road when suddenly he goes forward and tries to cut me and stops while blocking my way. He does this twice. Binusinahan ko. pero mukhang nananadya talaga. Sakto stoplight nun, so i grab my digicam to take his picture. Mukhang nakita niyang may camera ako sa wala na siyang ginawang kagaguhan pagktapos nun. Nakasabay ko pa siya hanggang un ave. To the driver, just because you drive a benz with an MPD plate doesn't mean you can be a bully on the road. Follow the rules and you'll be respected as a motorist. Don't be a brat and throw a tantrum when you don't get what you want. You sure can buy an E-Class but you can never buy class. Oh and **** YOU.

Most probably the city wasn't aware of the rules. It happens to me a lot, pag nag flash ako sa overtaking at hindi nag move, ako na lang lumilipat ng lane. Yung mga aware kasi pag nag flash ka nagmo move naman ng lane. Nakakatawa lang yung mga tao katulad niyan city na sila pa nagagalit, hindi nila alam sila naman yung mali.

Most probably the city wasn't aware of the rules. It happens to me a lot, pag nag flash ako sa overtaking at hindi nag move, ako na lang lumilipat ng lane. Yung mga aware kasi pag nag flash ka nagmo move naman ng lane. Nakakatawa lang yung mga tao katulad niyan city na sila pa nagagalit, hindi nila alam sila naman yung mali.

yup. ignorance shouldn't be an excuse though. i still make mistakes on the road and i own up on it.

i think that doesn't hold true; it makes no sense that you're with the flow of traffic on the overtaking lane sa hiways. The overtaking lane should always be open.

Pwede ka sigurong magtagal ng konti dun kung medyo struggle ka lagpasan yung inoovertakan mo, which shouldn't be the case since essentially dapat mga 110 kph lang dapat ang takbo nya. hehehehehe

As far as I know even you're following the speed limit hindi ka pwede mag stay sa inner lane as per the rules.. parang nakalagay yata sa SLEX "passing lane" hindi "fast lane"

yes. overtaking lane should always be open. kaya nakalagay dun ng all caps "OVERTAKING LANE ONLY" it doesn't matter what speed you are. once you get past the slower vehicle in front of you, you must return to the middle lane when possible.

Kahit 100kph takbo mo NEVER HOG THE OVERTAKING LANE WHEN THE MIDDLE LANE IS OPEN.

Kung wala ka naman inoovertake, bumalik ka sa gitna.

Is it ok to stay on the overtaking lane if you're overtaking everyone naman?
Kasi kapag nagbyahe kami ng family, tapos ako nagda-drive, yun ginagawa ko e.
I also flash the car in front kapag bumagal siya. Normally ang takbo namin sa NLEX is 120-140 sa overtaking lane.
Tama ba ito mga sirs? Para macorrect ko if mali

if everyone on the middle lane is slow, it's fine to overtake, as long as you return to the middle lane when it's clear. and btw, 120-140 kph is definitely overspeeding and you may get caught. i only go about 120 just to get past a vehicle that's "alanganin." after that i go back to 100.

on another note, on my post about the douche on the white benz. napansin ko most asshole/douche drivers have decals or at least a sticker of some car shop or a set up kit. i don't mean to generalize but a big percentage of those guys drive like they have privileges, which they don't. aside from those, people with stickers of CFC, iglesia, other religious organizations, mason emblem and MD badge on their plate, i noticed mostly drive like assholes. just because you have some kind of label on your car doesn't give you priviledges(excepts doctors maybe)

Correct, sa express way balik 3rd lane after overtaking, di rin ako nagbababad sa fastest lane kung di traffic. Sorry, I am was referring to my experience on EDSA. All lanes occupied in EDSA, mahaba ang pila at normal flow ang takbo sa 4th lane pero may mga panay ang flash at high beam sa likod na feeling yata eh congressman o senador sila.

Another pet peves ko eh yung busina ng busina kapag tumigil ka sa pedestrian crossing para magpatawid, yung intersection na walang stop light. Tapos minsan di pa papatawirin ng sa tabi mong sasakyan yung pinatatawid mo.

kahit proper etiquette in general. makikita mo palang sa mga pila sa LRT/MRT, grocery, entrance ng establishment, elevator, etc... yan ang kultura ng lamangan, garapalan. sarili lang ang iniisip

They just lack so much discipline especially when they keep weaving through lanes or they counterflow on two-lane roads, u-turn between concrete barriers, etc. I think the problem is that laws aren't enforced on them as tightly as it should be since the enforcers (aka policemen, mmda people) are motorcycle riders too who intentionally commit these offenses.

Last Friday, at dusk along NLEX (northbound), this convoy consisting of a Grand Starex, Fortuner and Monty Sport (w/ blings) we're hogging the lanes and refusing to let others pass. They were also running with their hazard lights on, making it difficult for other drivers to guess their lane movement.



I tried to safely pass once but the idiots did not give way so I just stuck back and followed from a safe distance. They eventually went straight to the Total gas station right before San Simon exit. Asswipes.
