I try to differentiate between the two by the speed I carry.
If I intend to let another vehicle pass or cross in front of me, I slow to a crawl or halt, and flash once or twice to beckon them to move along. It's actually pretty effective and most drivers understand it readily. Best done as a favor for trucks exiting a gate and turning into a street, but don't have enough of a gap to go on their way due to traffic.
This morning, a Lexus gave way to me when i was coming out of an inclined road. He flashed his lights and went to a full stop to signal he was giving way.
In contrast, in Makati, a Fortuner made a u-turn but had to back up since a digging blocked him from making a full turn in one try, the GT Express van in front of me refused to give way to the Fort backing up and blew his horn hard at the Fort.
It's more fun driving in the Philippines
ako, pinakakakaasaran ko:
a. slow vehicles in the fast lane.
b. vehicles which are in the middle of two lanes.
Tanga!![]()
Buses do the same thing.
This mentality of walang pakialam amongst PUV drivers (blocking lanes, driving slow) really is a microcosm of what keeps our country behind. Progress is impeded by those who don't give a rat's ass for others who can move faster; "If i'm slow or blocking you, that's your problem to get around me".
Drivers that spit on the road, worse pa while the car is running!
It happened to my cousin while we were in EDSA. His windshield had a huge blob of spit which came from a bus driver ata.
For me, I am thinking of "blinding them with science".... Hehehe
Hindi pala, blinding them with laser light.....(May gumawa na ba ng ganito?)
Parang si wifey,- for her,- anybody who spits on the road is yucky...
:hysterical:
(Hindi niya alam, when I was a teenager,- me and my friends had a game of the farthest spit... Oh well,- those were the days...)....

Last saturday, along aguinaldo highway enroute to tagaytay, a ford everest overtaking on the right side (road shoulder) decided to unload its garbage thru an open window, rear left hand side window!
The result was, I had softdrinks, left over burgers, chicken bones, potato fries, wrapping paper, ketchup, tissues, KFC gravy, on my hood.... WTF!
When we caught up with them at a cross road, I rolled down my window to tell them what is in my head. The owner, a lady apologized for the mis-deed of her yaya (which she was scolding every now and then BTW) and offered to have my car washed on the first car wash that we can find. Which was a good thing since me and my wife are already fuming mad.
Benz now squeaky clean, we proceeded to tagaytay for Holy Mass.![]()
