and if you still can't drive as fast as the traffic, go to the outer lane (right side of the road), where the slower-moving vehicles are traditionally expected to go.Originally Posted by

don't be ashamed to "drive slower", if that is what you feel is your "safe driving speed".

Props to Mr. Navarra. People should really stand up to road bullies like Shaider.
To which I answer, "all it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing".
Seriously, like Vernon Sarne said, mas mataas pa chance na mamatay ka sa kakakain ng lechon kaysa makatapat ng may baril sa daan.
Masyadong hyped ang mga tulad ni Ivler. I'm sure he's the extraordinary exception rather than a possibility.

Ah, this is where a lot of people will be divided in terms of their opinion. I am personally on the side of making sure people do not cut the line or counterflow, but I would surely not push it any further should the offender point a gun at me. I guess you can consider that middle ground.
As you may have noticed, Vernon Sarne has drawn a lot of flak from others because he will, in a way, be partly responsible for any injuries or casualties resulting from influencing a good majority of the public on what to do in such an instance. A very influential institution such as Top Gear Philippines should try to remain as objective and factual as possible to avoid stirring controversy such as this.
Yes, the chances of the offender having a firearm may be slim, but in the absurd chance that you do encounter a violator who points a gun at you, would you still resist? I always try to look at this from the perspective of the typical working man, and I feel that most would choose to back down at that point. I am sure that most, if not all men with a wife and kids to support would not risk it.
What could be a better option, you may ask? Document the scene, and report it to authorities. This is where a dashcam would come in handy. I already considered that our system can oftentimes be crappy, but it is better than just letting the violator go as is. Again, for me, that is a good middle ground.
But rest assured, those who hold their ground no matter what have my utmost respect. I just hope no harm comes upon them from doing such acts.

Agree, documentation is a great deterrent for gun toting jerks. They would think twice about shooting at someone with a dashcam pointed at them.
I also agree that you shouldn't just go headstrong against someone who puts a gun to your head. If it comes to that, then that's when you let it go. But like I said, few people have guns, fewer have permits to carry, and even fewer will have the guts to pull it out on you, much less fire it.
So next time someone cuts a dozen cars in a single queue, hold your ground.

I realllllly hate those flashing brake lights.
Super annoying
Ubpatient drivers while on traffic.
I've been seeing a lot of this on the roads lately. Nakakainis kasi, one, hindi sya standard. Two, hazard sa daan kasi di mo matantya ang pag break nila. I mean yes we know once the break light flashes, they are breaking.

i already mentioned this before..
one rainy night, driving down nagtahan bridge toward san andres...
it was a sea of moving red tail lights and flashing hazard lights.
the problem was, i could not discern in what direction the vehicles were going!
i imagine, if it were only the tail lights, i would be able to extrapolate in what direction the vehicles were going.
but as the hazard lights were flashing, i could not see the pattern of movement that the cars were moving toward.
napa-brake ako, because i got confused at what direction the cars in front of me were going to.

I find these a lot more dangerous than those blinking tail lights, lalo na pag high speed at maliwanag pa. Imagine kung biglang magpreno sya for some reason while cruising a highway then di nakita agad nung nasa likod. One should be able to avoid an accident by keeping enough distance or by changing lanes. But not everyone has a keen eye nor knowledge to spot these idiots.
2k php kasi yung led na double contact, kaso lagi out of stock.
Nung naghanap ako led double contact for brake/tail light, yan inoffer sakin (blinking brake light); tinanggihan ko kasi baduy na, mahina pa.
