guilty ako dito for one reason, ang problema dito sa atin pag nag signal ka the proper way, bibilisan pa lalo ng nsa likod or katabi mo para di ka makasingit. parang mauubusan ng kalsada

    1. Not reading the car's manual... FYI, you can push an automatic car at xx km/h for xx kms at "N" (its mentioned in the manual) - just enough so that you won't cause traffic when your car breaks down!

    2. Driver abruptly turning right (or left) if the car beside him makes an unusual cut... (you must hit the brakes!)

    3. Using the emergency lights during a heavy down pour

    4. Driver's who honk their horns a mili-second after the traffic light turns green.

    5. (most important) Drivers who do not give way to over taking cars especially on provincial roads...

If a car overtakes you, you should give way and allow him/her to pass, its for everyone's safety! You can always try to overtake him/her later.
The fourth one, i have an experience about the horn thing, i popped the hood, i turned on the hazard, went down, signaled that the engine stalled, did that just for kicks, i think that was 20 years, ago, saw the driver behind us scratching his head...the car i was driving was a old box type 80s galant..

when asked why the motorist does not bother signaling anymore, the above was exactly what he said.

It all boils down to adaptability. Im a proud pinoy but im the first to agree that in general we lack discipline in a lot of things.

Because I am sick of those drivers who speed up or flash their lights when I do the proper thing by signaling to turn, what I do is signal the moment I turn, but not before checking my mirrors that all is clear so that I don't cut into anyone's path.

Parang if I'm on the "right of way" situation, mag antay ka hanggang maka lampas ako bago ka mag turn?

or ano ba talaga ang tama? Ako ang mag tturn kaya mag bigay ka?

the turning vehicle does not usually have right of way, versus another vehicle going straight.

    Sir dr. d thanks!

So walang karapatan mag brag yung mga turning left or right kahit ayaw mag bigay nung mga nasa right of way, satin more like "mag antay ka pag clear na or if ever man merong mag bigay sa'yo".

Newbie driver here. Hubby and I bought a second hand car last December. Been practicing for the past couple of days with my parents' driver so I need to keep tabs on this thread para hindi mabadtrip sa akin ang ibang drivers.

Just learn to keep pace with everybody on the road. Go too slow and cars will be overtaking you left and right which can ruin your concentration. Go too fast and you may not have the experience and skill to react to situations accordingly. Learn to keep a mental picture of your surrounding by checking your mirrors once in a while.

^Right, that's my problem. As a newbie still learning the ropes/getting the hang of driving, my tendency is to go too slow kasi takot mabangga. When driving down Commonwealth, I'm usually at 40kph while speed limit is at 60kph. So my goal now is to keep practicing to gain confidence on the road. On the brighter side, mapagbigay talaga ako sa mga vehicles na nagsisignal to turn. Hehe.

when the speed limit is 60, try to go and maintain a speed somewhere near the speed limit... if not, you are impeding the flow of traffic...

going too slow is as dangerous as with going too fast the said speed limit...

Bro.,- dito kasi,- turn muna bago ang signal ...

O nakalimutan na ring gawin ang pangalawa...

Pero, sa totoo lang,- pagmanehohin mo sa ibang bansa,- kababait na parang tupa....
