mgs sirs tanong lang... kelan ba dapat gawin yung ATF flush na yan? M/T kasi lumang car na pinapagamit sa akin tapos nung talagang naghihingalo na un (at natuto na ako ng mag-drayv ng maayos... hehe) tska lang pinalitan ng A/T (mga 1.5 years ago) ng parents ko... so mejo di kami familiar regarding maintenance ng A/T na vehicle... although mejo bago pa ung car ko pero taga south area ako so almost everyday 50-60km tinatakbo ng car kaya baka dapat mas maging attentive ako sa maintenance kesa naka-rely lang ako sa casa check-ups every 5000 kms...

aside from this ATF flush what other check-ups might you guys recommend for my car that i should be aware of? studyante pa lang kasi ako at lately lang nagsimula "love affair" ko with cars (eto kasi first car na feeling ko akin at wala akong kaagaw sa paggamit di tulad dati na share kami sa family... hehe) ayoko kasi mag-rely lang talaga sa casa e...

sorry kung OT mods... naiintimidate ako dun sa ibang sections ng forums la ako maintindihan e... hehe... kaya dito ko na lang siningit

Boybi: Transtech replaces virtually 100% of your ATF and it also cleans your AT. Automated Dialysis Machine siya kaya no need to bring down the pan and do manual flushing (which actually replaces only 30-50% of ATF because a lot of fluid is trapped in the inner workings of your AT)

Can it clean the strainer w/out bringing down the pan?
If you change your ATF regularly do you still suggest to have this Transtech procedures?

transtech: P3,000++
transmission overhaul plus parts: P30,000++
clean and well maintained A/T + smiling car owner: priceless.

Siguro if you are the 1st owner of the car and follow the recommended service schedule ok lang na hinde pa Transtech. In my case , i got the car second hand and im not sure if the previous owners did perform the recommended PMS sa kotse, so just to be sure na walang maduming fluid pina flush ko na. Nagbago ang response sa shifting after the transtech procedure. Im happy I had my ATF flush.

larshell: yup, transtech cleans your whole transmission system. having the ATF replaced regularly would definitely be good for both the car and the owner. Actually the issue Transtech addresses are the ff:

(a) most car owners forget about having their ATF replaced (in the States, 70% of transmission failures could have been prevented if they had their ATF replaced)
(b) a lot of old, burnt ATF gets trapped in the torque converter, in which a regular ATF flush cannot address.

silverzzz: what's your car make and model? how many KMs has it run after (with the A/T installed)? who converted your car's A/T, and what AT Fluid did they use?

torque2006, Thanks for the quick reply. My problem with my a/t is that it wont shift to 3rd gear until 3500RPM and 4000RPM on 4th gear. Kaya ba ng Transtech kung ganito yong problem?

however, i cannot guarantee that shifting would be faster when you have your AT "transteched". Why?
(1) we have not inspected your car.
(2) there might be mechanical problems involved.

And i want to throw back some questions to you:
(a) Have you ever had ATF flush for your Montero?
(b) what's your mileage?

I had my car repaired twice already there...

first was during milenyo and next was the day after...

I had it repaired first for rough idling... it costed me P500.

the next day, I had my car repaired for my power steering problem & alignment. I also complained that the rough idling is back again. after I got my bill I was surprised that I was billed again for P300 for the said idling problem.

I have to go back though to your office since I think Grace forgot to bill me for another bottle of brake cleaner (P210).

Differential gear oil change
Radiator flushing
Brake fluid change
Steering fluid change
Change oil

This is for an Isuzu Dmax.

Hope you can help me as I am comparing your prices with casa's 20tkm service. Thanks.

Yes, I had it flash a couple of times since a got it.
Mileage is 56k but i don't know if it is the correct reading.

Regarding transtech for my 20tkm diesel rig. Percy quoted me for 24 liters of ATF. the capacity of my ATF is 9 liters only. Do you think we'll really be needing 24 liters to clean my system (sa tingin mo mga ilan ang kailangan?). Take note that im only at 20tkms.

Nga pala bro, how much is your dexron III per liter again?

24 liters din ang advice sa akin ni Percy kaya nagdala ako ng 23. 14li lang lahat ng nagamit kaya meron pa akong 9li na sobra. baka may gusto bumili . Mobil 220 Dexron 2. BTW civic 99 yung pina atf flush ko.
