the first car that i purchased out of my own pocket was a 2nd hand TOYOTA COROLLA SR .
two-door / 2T engine ... with MOMO steering Wheel , Alpine Stereo , and ( i forgot the brand now ) mags ... < star shaped similar to those used by Ferraris>
i still remember purchasing it for 60Thou back in the late 80's.
whenever i reminisce about her , i smell gasoline ... sira kasi yung fuel gauge... i tried replacing the gauge and the floater pero di rin naayos so i just had to top off the fuel evry few days. kaso pag puno nangangamoy gasolina sa loob ...
i also remember going home from the office the entire time on 1st gear kasi naputol yung clutch cable.
dalawang beses na siya nalubog sa baha sa UST ... pero buhay pa rin .
sold her in 1995 .
marami pa akong nakikitang ganito sa daan ... and i'm actually on the look-out for her so kung makita niyo paki pm na langCCS 532 / dark blue.

My first car was a second hand 1969 Honda N600 Sedan - Honda's first ever car with 2 cylinder 600cc engine...hahaha
My father gave it to me when I was in 3rd year college.
10" ang wheels at wood panel ang dash board, then came the 1973 1st Generation Honda Civic and Accord, that time we decided to sell it again after I blew the transmission into pieces when I drove it with 11 young adultsMy father was shocked to see the transmission cover as if it was smashed by a sledge hammer.
Super tipid sa gas, good for all city driving nga lang kasi hindi makatakbo ng mabilis.
I wish sana maglabas uli ang Honda ng ganito, swak ito sa high fuel cost ngayon at kung pang city driving din lang okay na to.
The car was very similar to this picture

man.. my very first car was my old 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E-2.3 8 valve w/ auto tranny. it was a hand-me-down car from my mom when I turned 16 and got my California Drivers License back in 1998.
anywayz, I remembered when I first started modifiying my Benz.. I bought a set of Suspension Techniques lowering springs for $260. I really saved my money for that (coz I worked part time at Taco Bell when I was 16..) and then I lowered my car just by myself!! I barely knew how to work on cars back then, but I was desperate since that I could not afford to pay $600 LABOR ONLY!! on getting my springs installed by the local Mercedes-Benz shop... so I did everything by myself!! and I did!! but it took me 12 hrs (kalahating araw tol!!) to install just the FRONT lowering springs!!! (yung harapan lang ha!!, 12 hrs!! LOLZ!!).
anywho.. that was back in 1998 though, wala pa akong masyadong alam sa pag me-mekaniko.. pero buti nalang hindi ako naging siraniko!! coz now, I can lower any Mercedes-Benz (from 1970's to present..) in just 3-4 hrs! (harap, likod!!) lolz.
also, I used to race my 190E at the drag strip (and some illegal street racing) back in the dayz.... the first car that I drove, going past 130 mph.. the first car that I gotten pulled over by the California Highway Patrol.. the very first car that I learned to work on and made me to be a very good mechanic as I am right now (the very first engine that I built from the ground-up was an M102 Mercedes-Benz 190E-2.3 engine). man, that was some good 'ole memories ('',)
thats me, back in 2000.
aite, peace.

My first ever car is a 99 Mitsubishi Galant (bnew as i used to have a good job then)... I used it till 2002 (90T KM) and sold it , bought a Civic 2000 (2nd hand * 40T KM & parted with it * 132T KM) , sold that at TSIKOT hehe and bought a 2007 Civic 2.0 MT LE last September lang.
Until now ha, I still think about my first ever car (in fact i browse the buy n sell section at be able to see one which i can afford, maybe in another 5 years pag murang mura na ito i'll buy back a similar one)....
