the first car that i purchased out of my own pocket was a 2nd hand TOYOTA COROLLA SR .
two-door / 2T engine ... with MOMO steering Wheel , Alpine Stereo , and ( i forgot the brand now ) mags ... < star shaped similar to those used by Ferraris >
i still remember purchasing it for 60Thou back in the late 80's.
whenever i reminisce about her , i smell gasoline ... sira kasi yung fuel gauge... i tried replacing the gauge and the floater pero di rin naayos so i just had to top off the fuel evry few days. kaso pag puno nangangamoy gasolina sa loob ...
i also remember going home from the office the entire time on 1st gear kasi naputol yung clutch cable.
sold her in 1995 .
marami pa akong nakikitang ganito sa daan ... and i'm actually on the look-out for her so kung makita niyo paki pm na lang CCS 532 / dark blue.
My first car was a second hand 1969 Honda N600 Sedan - Honda's first ever car with 2 cylinder 600cc engine...hahaha My father gave it to me when I was in 3rd year college.
10" ang wheels at wood panel ang dash board, then came the 1973 1st Generation Honda Civic and Accord, that time we decided to sell it again after I blew the transmission into pieces when I drove it with 11 young adults My father was shocked to see the transmission cover as if it was smashed by a sledge hammer.
Super tipid sa gas, good for all city driving nga lang kasi hindi makatakbo ng mabilis.
I wish sana maglabas uli ang Honda ng ganito, swak ito sa high fuel cost ngayon at kung pang city driving din lang okay na to.
man.. my very first car was my old 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E-2.3 8 valve w/ auto tranny. it was a hand-me-down car from my mom when I turned 16 and got my California Drivers License back in 1998.
anywayz, I remembered when I first started modifiying my Benz.. I bought a set of Suspension Techniques lowering springs for $260. I really saved my money for that (coz I worked part time at Taco Bell when I was 16..) and then I lowered my car just by myself!! I barely knew how to work on cars back then, but I was desperate since that I could not afford to pay $600 LABOR ONLY!! on getting my springs installed by the local Mercedes-Benz shop... so I did everything by myself!! and I did!! but it took me 12 hrs (kalahating araw tol!!) to install just the FRONT lowering springs!!! (yung harapan lang ha!!, 12 hrs!! LOLZ!!).
anywho.. that was back in 1998 though, wala pa akong masyadong alam sa pag me-mekaniko.. pero buti nalang hindi ako naging siraniko!! coz now, I can lower any Mercedes-Benz (from 1970's to present..) in just 3-4 hrs! (harap, likod!!) lolz.
also, I used to race my 190E at the drag strip (and some illegal street racing) back in the dayz.... the first car that I drove, going past 130 mph.. the first car that I gotten pulled over by the California Highway Patrol.. the very first car that I learned to work on and made me to be a very good mechanic as I am right now (the very first engine that I built from the ground-up was an M102 Mercedes-Benz 190E-2.3 engine). man, that was some good 'ole memories ('',)
My first ever car is a 99 Mitsubishi Galant (bnew as i used to have a good job then)... I used it till 2002 (90T KM) and sold it , bought a Civic 2000 (2nd hand * 40T KM & parted with it * 132T KM) , sold that at TSIKOT hehe and bought a 2007 Civic 2.0 MT LE last September lang.
Until now ha, I still think about my first ever car (in fact i browse the buy n sell section at be able to see one which i can afford, maybe in another 5 years pag murang mura na ito i'll buy back a similar one)....
my first car was a '91 EE90 Toyota Corolla XL 4 speed..it was originally metallic blue, we had it since it was new, and was used by my mom until she gave it to me as a graduation gift for high school. then after a couple of years i had it repainted to red, then sold it early this year..daming memories talaga..girlfriends, barkada, tirik dahil wala ng pang gas, palit palit ng mags, at ang dakilang checkpoint ng mga mamang puls
ang gamit ko ngayon '93 ST191 Toyota Corona EX Saloon ng dad ko. i had it nung namatay din siya early this year.
mine was a 78 mitsu galant sigma, astron 80 engine.. i remember sa nlex way back 1991, bigla nalang umapoy ang isang wire at malapit pa sa carburator.. i was very scared that time na akala ko sasabog na yung car just like in the movies hehehe.. nakakamiss din kahit papaano ang first car mo talaga
Ako naman 1st car ko yung '99 Lancer GSR sports coupe..a high school grad gift..kinargahan ng mga pang-bagets na mods tska pina-set up makina..used it during my college days..pero nung graduate na'ko sa college binenta ko for my savings on a new one..i had no Ride for almost 2 years and nakigamit lang ako extra car namin na CRV..
Nung 2006 ko nabili ang UNANG kotseng pinaghirapan ko, it's a Fortuner..then saved up again to for my second car which is my chrysler 300c..
My first regular drive was an AE101 Toyota Corolla 1.6. I hardly remember driving it now despite having driven it for about two years...medyo forgettable kasi driving characteristics nya para sa akin. I do remember practicing extreme engine braking on that. Napaaga yung palit ng clutch tapos umabot akong 5 km/L when it would normally do 8. Crazy stuff. We had it about eight years, malambot na yung springs at shocks nung binenta na namin.
My next ride was my initiation into Hondas: a second-hand SX8 City 1.5 EXi. I thrashed it hard but it was always asking for more, and always returned pretty good fuel economy (9-10 km/L). I had it for six years. It's one of the rarer deep blue cars. Dyan ako natuto sa maintenance and upkeep. I'm no mechanic but I know enough about it to diagnose what's wrong and what I can do to fix it.
Next came my present baby, the GD1 Honda Jazz 1.3S. This is the first car I started to modify, although I just have minor mods for now---nothing engine-related. Puro electronics na muna.
i got my first car just last year (nov 1) and still have it.
i'm still making memories with it! madalas ayaw mag-start (loose +batt konek), low idle,
Mine was a 1977 Mitsubishi Colt Lancer (4-door sedan) way back in 2003. Memorable moments are the ff:
And it occured on the same spots!
2. Tumirik pa sa intersection. Tinulak namin kasama ng mamang pulis.
3. Minsan sinakay ko yung isang Belgian priest (which I was tutoring at that time) dito sa tsikot na ito. Napansin ko tinignan niyang mabuti yung buong kotse sabay sabi "its a good car huh..but do they still allow this here in the Philippines?"....
My first car was a 77 Celeste..My dad handed down to me after barely graduating from HS (had problems with the subjects Filipino and Social Studies which was in Filipino)..Anyways before he gave it to me, he had it painted by what I believe was called "wet-look" by some former racer guy Art-something I think..All I remember though was that he had the engine rebuilt at a shop called AER and they rebore the engine from 1600cc to 1800cc and installed a "Cam 6"..The interior was redone with the steering wheel replaced with a MOMO wheel and the stereo with a Alpine deck, Infintiy Kappa series speakers and a ProLine equalizer..
I used to owned a Toyota Liftback Model 1981. I got it in a cheap price sa kakilala.
My first car was a Daihatsu Charade, 2 door, 993 cc 3 cylinder, 5 speed manual, gray. Got it as carplan in 1991 from my company then. I remember it was quite a speedy little car from stoplight to stoplight. I miss it soooooooooooooo much and would want to get hold of one again, if not the original for ol' time sake, if not for the lack of parts. And also the troublesome A/C, which at least broke down 3 times during its first 3 years, from BRAND NEW! Good thing I was assigned in Cebu then, covering provincial districts so the A/C, or no A/C, was'nt that bad a situation.
mine was a 1993 toyota corolla gli,my father gave it to me as a high school graduation gift, but after months my dad sell the car, and im back in commuting^^ my dad let me use his isuzu crosswond XUVi. gee the suv is so slow, for me cause a teenager always want a fast car right? but the efficiency of its fuel is so amazing, pag nagpagas ako ng 500 almost 2 weeks ko xa gagamitin di gaya nun gli p gamit ko.. pero di nagtagal yun binili ako ng dad ko ng civic 96 m/t aun naloko ako sa drag race kinargahan ko tas todo drop yun nasira suspension at engine block, bago p nga yun mags ko n gt-3 wala pa 5 months trinade na ng dad ko sa suv T_T how sad diba.. boys out there understand me right. hehe syempre magagawa mba sa suv yun gnagawa mo sa kotse? ikaw ba mag beburnout ka sa suv?? haha naubos nga gulong ko dati. pero ang pinalit nya honda crv 01 m/t hehehe.. ang lufit ng suv n2 ma2lin nga ang 2lin din sa gas yung 500 ala p isang lingo hahaha. ayun nasakin parin xa ngayon pero balak ko pag nagpalit ako suv n din pero modelo^^ pref. honda crv n 2nd gen. yun 270hp yung 2006 model hahahar yun m/t non tas 4x4^^
my 1st daily ride is our family car 96 SS Sentra (brandnew) ..memorable to kasi nabunggo ko kaagad sya on her 1st day..sobrang kaasar nito = )
then gave it back to my parent when i got married. bought a 2nd hand 93 Corolla XE then replaced it with my current ride a 2007 Civic FD.
