Here is a pic of my meters when i last took a ride to Batangas Race Circuit. This speed was attained via a stock Civic Sir at Startollway. Was 22kph short of my record time at startoll.
grabe.hehehe..
nasubukan ko sa gen 2.5 pajero namin hangang 180kph pero parang hirap na :D
Here is my civic trying the 3rd corner (Downhill) of the race track at 130kph. We do this turn at 170kph when on our race bikes. I should say stock Lancers will kick the Civics when it comes to attacking the corners.
Another shot of the tacho when doing the startollway craze ( was trying to beat my 220kph from a previous run) .....the steering wheel is very light, the road bumpy and the heart says------> tama na. Hehehehe.
ako 150kph. yong testdrive namin yong bagong biling isuzu trooper 94 ltd 3.1TD. we started from 0 kph and after 2-3 kms we have reached 150 na. We did it here in mindanao, near General Santos City Int'l Airport. We slowed down after encountering bunch of tricycles, jeeps and rural trucks.

hmm, 222 ang SiR stock? pero 210 ang limiter, diba? hehehe... whichever way, dat's faaast.
Umuulan ba o malamig? Usually, your top speed is about 10-20kph slower if the air is cold (higher air resistance).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Limiter????.......are you refering to rev limiter or speed limiter?
I use superbike racing oil on my civic.....it gives a higher rev range and more acceleration power as compared to ordinary or so called racing oil for cars.:nerd:
As for "pedal to the metal" motto , flooring the pedal to the metal does not necessarily give you speed. A rider/driver should know what rpm, gear level and timing he should be at to attain the maximum output of his vehicle.
A good electrical grounding can also be of good help at the top end of the power band of your vehicle.
I'll try to post again if we have another run at star tollway. Racing season has just ended and will be back again April next year.
Cheers and ride safely.:D
Don't forget shift points. :D
I was thinking speed limiter... oh well... my bud said his SiR still had some give in it when he hit 200+, while my RS feels like it's topping out at 207-210.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
195+ kph on a Accord sa NLEX.. sa may mahabang tulay at around 6AM. hindi nanginginig ang manibela pero natakot nako sa trucks beside me. pagbaba ng tulay, there was still a bare stretch sa highway so I tried to reach that speed again. the needle of the speedo was still climbing when I released the pedal at 200 kph... ako nanginig pagkatapos. and malakas sa gas! ngyek!
promised myself that i'm not gonna do it again.. i just tried kung kaya.![]()
155kmh sa pajero...12psi. :D wanted to see what effect having an additional boost would have on the speed. dati kasi fastest daw kaya ng car according to my mom was 150.
kakababa namin from tagaytay on a 1am sunday and reached 155 on slex, dami lang nga truck, kakainis, couldn't go faster. and good thing i had evilution45 of mymitsu as co-driver alerting me of possible radar-equipped highway patrol.
