I also have a 1966 Mustang fastback that is waitng on the wings to be cloned as a GT350. Same as those in the picture. But it has to wait until I finish my Eleanor.

Muscle cars are just really fantastic. Most of you guys has not had the experience to drive this beast. This is one experience you will never forget especially when it is a Big Block. You will literally feel G-forces working on you on high rev acceleration.

As for me, I'll just use my '67 pony (as soon as the project is completed of course) as a weekend warrior!

Turbo, did Mang Radie already talk to you about the 9" differential? Your anticipated budget which you txted to me is ok with me.

Nope, he has not texted me about it.

By the way, I have a new hood chrome molding, a new set(3 pieces) of dash and a very good used flip gas cap(very rare).

By golly, I was expecting to see 76 Toyota Celica, considered to be the Japanese Mustang back in the day. But, hey, it's the real deal afterall!

It's the American Eleanor, come to stay in our dear native Philippines. A beauty indeed. Turbo, you are one lucky man. I, on the other hand, have to lament the fact that Mattel stopped production of their 1/64 scale model GT350.

BTW, if anyone cared to know, I also like the first gen Chevy Camaro, the one with the hideaway headlights. Putting those 2 cars side by side should be a sight to behold.

Tsk tsk... I bet everyone here loves the '05 Mustang.

    Ebb,

    I also have a pair of First Generation Camaro. A 67 327 and a 69 350.

Yes, they look impressive when they are parked side by side.

I am just lucky, I guess!

it is a sight to behold I agree...

when I was still working in the Philippines, one of my colleague has a red 1967-68 red Mustang and he brings it to the office every saturday...hehehe just the sound of its engine makes us excited but he never let us drive it....he only uses it during weekends because of its gas consumption...he said it took him almost 7 yrs in restoring it, one of the executive vice president of the other company offered him a good sum for it but he never even blink his eyes when he said to the buyer that his car is not for sale, this is my baby...hehehehe

It was really a looker way back in the early 90's...I always look forward on seeing this car in the parking lot at Ortigas center during saturdays, sometimes it becomes a conversation piece from other people around, and everybody always ask the owner if they can have a feel of the drivers seat....hehehe

I wonder if that car is still around.... I already lost my picture w/ it....

Great! I can bring three more of my friends who has a 1968 hardtop, the other two has a red and a black 1965 fastback.

Fort Boni would be the ideal place.

I am using gage 16 GI sheets, they are very thin and very light.

My personal Eleanor just got a suspension change. I got hold of a set of C4 Corvette suspension. The front end is done as with the 460(7.6 liter) motor mounting. Since the 460 was set back 10 inches, it left a really big space up the engine bay. So on that space, I will put four turbos and 2 intercoolers to feed the 460 with compressed air.

The rear end is being mounted. I just orderd from the US 315/35/17 for the rear and 275/35/17 for the front with Mustang wheels, sale kasi, $1000 for the set.

Since the C4 Vette is alredy equipped with aircooled calipers and rack and pinion, I am going to keep it. So, my Mustang II front end and 9" with disc is up for sale.

The other Eleanor is being painted and has the Unique rear end and Mustang II front end. Engine is also 460 forced fed by an Eaton Superchager/Intercooler. It also has an individual runner wet NOS.

The last one belongs to Wesley Gatchalian and the Eleanod conversion will bw done in two weeks time. I think the car won in the TRANSHOW a year ago.

My 68 COPO 396/4 speed Muncie Camaro is now undergoung restoration, but I am gonna install the Unique-type coil over rear end. The dual quad intake, aluminum heads, 12:1 Forged piston, 270 Cam etc., arrived today so on with the engine hop up.

    Thanks Chip.

The pictures that was posted by CHIP belongs to Serafica of the BURGUNDY group, he owns 50+ collectible Muscle cars.

That car was done two years ago. That is the reason why I cannot finish my personal Eleanor, cause friends asks me to do theirs. The picture does not do justice to the car coz it still has no engine, the tire are stock. I think the people of Mr. Serafica is just about finish with the car by now.

As with the Eleanor in the last Custom Car Show, 30% may be more of the hard to find part came from me. The 9" posi rear end, manual pedal set, Cougar tail light housing, SHELBY Emblems etc were all sourced through me.

are they lighter than fiberglass? does this lighter gauge in any way compromise integrity?

Is it a real COPO? wow

how long does it normally take to make your eleanors? how long has yours been in the making? does this affect the metal in any way?

It takes two months to complete one. It does not affect because I use rivets to minimize heating the metal. The body is also more rigid now. Altough gage 16 is thin, coz of the complex curves of the metal, rigidity is increase.

My personal Eleanor was started 4 years ago, kaya lang when friends ask me to do theis cars(which includes mu brother) it will always be put on hold. Ngayon nga lang uli nagawa, kasi ngayon lang uli ako nagkaroon ng prea. Hehehe. Yon ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat!!!

The 68 is COPO, J52 breaks and HI PERF 396 with 4 speed Muncie. Medyo madami lang kalawang. Kaya lang, who would to pass on a COPO!
