Bring along your own mechanic that has the specific skills for a particular car, say, if it's a diesel then get a mech that has more experience in diesel engines. You have a better shot at determining the vehicle's condition.
Most of all, don't rush into buying especially if the seller tries real hard to sales talk you. Chances are, he is desperate too![]()
