Ford Fiesta Issues

The transmission itself. Yun lang naman ang issue ng Ford cars, although it's not a very serious thing, annoying lang.

This pertains to PS Transmission. Years have already past, has this not been resolved by Ford.

This also affect the new Ford EcoSport that will be released this month

Any update on the PS transmission of Fiesta?

Something like that. Di instantaneous ang acceleration niya when flooring. Ang nagyayari nagsshudder and nagjjerk yung sasakyan.

I experienced the jerking issue as well on PS transmission, after my 1k check up sa casa naging mas smooth na yung shifting nya so far. I'll no more in a few days/weeks kapunta ko lang ng casa kanina e.

Any suggestions kung pano ko mapataas fuel efficiency ko? on the onset it was at 18km/l now I'm down to 10.7km/l

I have my first 1K checkup done * Ford Manila bay. So far no issues was observed within a month of use on my fiesta sedan. My FC is on 12kpl.. sarap idrive city and open hi-way..

Hi, did ford told you that your next checkup (for fiesta) is at 10K? Fyi I brought my sister's fiesta to ford edsa for the 1K checkup a month ago. They told me that the next checkup is 10K! IMO its a big gap, considering that they did not change the oil during the 1K checkup. The next checkup should be either at 3K or 5K. I will double check the manual for that.

My Fofi 1.6 AT has travelled 36km already. The 'check engine' light went on and it won't reverse. I brought it to casa but after one day, they cannot detect what causes the problem. Anybody with the same experience? Thanks in advance.

This is so disappointing, just 36t km wait is that 36 km or 36T km? Any even if its 36t km and this problems occur is really frustrating and worse is the casa cannot detect the problem.

Sorry, it's 36,000 (thought I already typed K for thousand). Casa replaced electronic throttle body costing 12K. Now, before reaching home, it's back to the same problem. Casa told me that the TCM needs to be replaced, that's 65K pesos daw. Oh my, covered ba ito ng lemon law?

Sir may i know your service dealer? How about transmission issues on your 1.6 fiesta AT? Mine is also 1.6 AT. They already changed my transmission last week so far so good ( no jerking smooth shifting ). Mileage is 28t km.

Another issue aside from rack and pinion is intermediate shaft. ( knocking sound )

Libis, sir. You mean the transmission itself or the transmission control module? How much did it cost you or is it within warranty. Mine is just 3 years 6 months.

I am assuming the TCM is under warranty. If you would sign up at fordclub.ph, you can read about the plight of Sir Tidus where his TCM gave up after the warranty. It seems the TCM of our batch (my M/T Fiesta is also 3yrs 6months old) is weak.

The bright side of it is you get a newer version of the TCM for free. Had it failed say 1 month after you got it, chances are the TCM would be the same version and also weak.

Also since our LiMo is highly computerized, I hear the casa upgrades its software regularly.

But yeah medyo marami na rin minalas sa TCM na Fiesta...
