Can you get the list of parts that they're going to repair/replace, and the cost for each? Are these the same stuff that was repaired previously?

It should be covered by the extended warranty. Alam ko Ecoboost models lang ang hindi covered ng extended warranty for clutch assy. Let them check your VIN to verify.

The Ecoboost models are also covered in the tranny extended warranty. I received a letter indicating so.

Clutch assembly P40,300 (was replaced on March2017 under warranty) + Shift fork P27,200 (new repair) + P2100 diagnose fee + P10,000 transmission remove/install. I have to pay P20,000 advance for them to start the repair.

Woah, these are expensive repairs for just a small car like the fiesta!

Have you tried other ford branches just to verify if they'll see the same issues? How about other car repair centers like Drive+ Car Care if in case your car is already out of warranty?

Thanks Ford

Ford is going down the drain...

    https://www.carguide .ph/2019/07/ford-could-face-largest-lawsuit-against.html

Fields is set to testify in a series of cases involving customers who opted out of the class-action lawsuit that complained about Ford’s problematic dual clutch transmission and its propensity to shudder, jerk, and hesitate. The suits have since been combined into a federal case in California where Fields has been ordered to appear in court by July 31.

At the time the dual clutch transmission was introduced, Fields was Ford’s president of the Americas and his disposition is critical in confirming that Ford’s executives at the highest level knew of the problems with the transmissions, intentionally concealed that information, and sold the vehicles to the public anyway.

If Fields confirms that he has knowledge that the company intentionally hid the PowerShift problem, they could face the largest lawsuit against the problematic gearbox and could be hit with a potential USD 4 billion (~ P 208 billion) liability.

Didn’t their mothers teach them not to lie? Lying will only get them in trouble. 😂

Off-topic na: I wish they'd bring the new Escape over when it's released. If they do, that's going to be my next ride.

New escape looks like a fusion between a crossover and a hatchback. Pwede na din but it looks eerily similar to the pre kodo mazda 3.

The previous Escape AWD 2.0L Ecoboost was as quick as the FXT but it does not have the soft offroader capabilities of the FXT. It was also a bit smaller than the FXT.

The new one looks even more soft and less off road capable. But maybe its still off road capable

Ford never did boast of the offroad capabilities of the Escape. It was meant for city slickers who wanted a crossover version of the Focus.

Ford has bigger and better platforms for offroad use.
