Compared to a 96 civic and a gen 1 2001 CRV, i feel less certain about the braking capability.

After the first 2 "free" PMS when did you have to return the car to the casa? Yung last PMS ko was mga September sabi sa akin balik ko daw sa 1st year anniversary for next PMS nung service advisor at the time, tapos nung tinawagan ko nung Feb sabi sa akin ng service department April pa daw kasi wala pang 6 months since the last PMS. I would have thought the month would be based on purchase date not last time serviced.
It is 10,000 KM or 6 months "whichever comes first" and then the counter is reset to zero again for the months and KM.

Nung magpreno sarado ka Sir, umandar ba yung ABS?

I never tested mine sayang pudpod ng tires and I have no training in high speed braking baka madisgrasya lang ako.

I trust my life and my family's life on the safety of the Fiesta.

For those thinking of buying or already have a Fiesta but not yet aware, I just found out last night na wala palang included air filter or "pollen filter" yung Phil version.

In case interesado kayo, eto yung thread sa Fordclubph :

pero IMHO i do not have a FOFI pero dapat di dependent ang kotse sa driving habit/s kasi AFAIK wala namang storage or ganoon kalaking memory mga ECU ng kotse to store driving habit. beside wala din sya sa manual so the feature is not really existing.

    Peace. TIA.

It doesn't follow that all cellphones are too complicated for everyone.

If done properly, a "user profile" or a record of a driver's driving habit is a great advantage. The car can "react" properly.

Ako, I got the manual to get greater control. Fiesta offers both intelligent A/T at conventional M/T.

Yung manual nung kotse mo ba sir nakalagay kung anong fuel/air mixture during 3000RPM at 30 degrees centigrade ambient temperature? Wala? Therefore wala palang fuel/air mixture and kotse mo. Hehehe...

    Fish!

    Wow haba.

IMHO and AFAIK yung ecu is just reading the driving scenario in realtime to adjust the timing and etc based on the need of the driver when he push the accelerator (similar concept with vvti and vtec, etc and etc) pero hindi sya nakaistore na paghinataw ko ngayon yung auto eh ang profile pa din nya mamaya eh hataw mode.

Unlike you, I believe it does keep a certain "record" of how the driver behaves. One evidence is the early experience of my co Fiesta owners with the A/T variant of "gear hunting". It was resolved by doing an "ECU reset" thru disengaging the battery for a while.

Logical?

Although no article specifically pertains to Ford Fiesta MK7-PH regarding ECU reset, several do in other brands and models. Companies do copy what competitors have and again I may have falsely assumed that it would not be too difficult, nay, might be wise for Ford to copy this feature. It may even be possible Ford invented it.

Again, apologies... your earlier comments caught me at a bad time.

Peace brother. No ill intent we are just deliberating our opinions so that we can be factual and share a bit of our knowledge to fellow tsikoteers.

IMHO tama ka sir may memory chip yung focus sa ECU nya pero maliit lang ito masyado to store certain codes of the engine bases on different reacrion on its accelerator.

Or magretard sya kung cruising speed or engine break. And of course certain functions of other features.

Pre appreciate your apology, im also in a bad mood sensya na boss.

Anyway para di OT, baka kaya nirereset ECU is to fresh en up the program di ba minsan kahit cp naghahang or etc kaya need I restart.

Likewsie bro. Marami akong natutunan dito sa tsikot kaya naman I try to payback in terms of helping others.

Researching further, me nabasa sin ako article na "myth" lang daw yung driver profile in the ECU. Kaso nga lang both nagsasabi ng meron learning process at dun sa nagsasabi ng wala eh hindi nagbigay ng reference man lang sa scientific study or article from a reputable magazine for example Topgear.

I always try to look at the bright side. The mere fact na meron ECU ang mga kotse natin, anong brand man sila, is a small miracle. What is important is we appreciate our rides and have confidence in them.

What I have heard is that coming technology will indeed have a "user profile". The way it is implemented is the computer chip that comes with our keys (present immobilizer feature) . Parents will give a different key to their teenage children. Because of this unique identifier, the car will not go over 50MPH despite any amount of pressure is put on the gas pedal. The sound system will also not go over a pre determined level.

Mismo bro, nauna na nga ung park assists ni ford di ba na sa pagtingin ko sa preview the driver just need to . button and the car will automatically park.

Pansin ko din all of the car nowadays are using electronic power steering which can be controlles by ecu now or in the future

    Is this thread still alive?
I just bought my 2013 Fiesta last May. hatchback S. Everythings ok except that last 3 weeks ago I lost my master key and just last week my spare key's handle nasira din! I concluded manufacturing defect. The master key's notch is not solid all throughout (may awang sa gitna) kaya yung metallic ring which handles the key holder slipped through the small space in between! I just notice that all the rest of my keys were intact except my car key. We did an extrenous work kasi that day. Then I used the spare key. the last time I used it was when Im starting the engine. I just talked to the manager in Global City and said the keys are not included in the warranty. I asked them to replace it for free because of how they made their keys. Pero discount lang daw ang kaya nila on both keys. What are your thoughts? This seems to be an isolated issue.

If the price of the replacement "emergency key" is too much, it should not be too difficult to mold your own key "handle" using non-sag epoxy or steel epoxy (yung mukhang clay). You need to transfer the electronic chip inside the original handle since this chip interacts with the engine immobilizer.

Do a preliminary experiment first if the epoxy will not interfere with the chip, specially the steel one.

I termed it as "emergency key" because our regular key (the one with the keyless entry) is built for everyday use. The danger of it falling off a key ring was evident early on so I drilled a hole crosswise to avoid it falling off.

Of course, that is water under the bridge for you so I hope the epoxy suggestion will tide you over until a replacement regular key is available.

You might want to join Fordclubph, it is free.

Ford dealer found an oil leak in the transmission of my Fiesta. They said the leaked oil affected the clutch so they replaced it also. It's a serious safety issue baka magslide o masunog.

I read reports that Engine Oil leak happens in Ford Fiesta every 20kms or earlier. I noticed that problem because of the jerking and dragging, especially when uphill.

Do you have the same issues also? I already went to DTI to file a complaint. I need at least 2-3 consumers with the same issue. If you filed complaints already, please send me PM. Let's help each other. Thank you!

Hi, I'm currently using a 2014 Fiesta. Should I also expect this to happen to mine when it gets to 20k KM?

Upon further investigation, I found out that the glue used to attach the emblem to the black plastic oval (shown in the picture) is of poor quality. Parang natuyong tootpaste lang

Gaya din ng nasabi ko matagal na that our plate number represents the Republic of the Philippines and should not be drilled, dapat lang sana Ford gives greater importance to its logo/emblem.

Yung front emblem, I tried to pry it off using a knife and it seems matibay naman ang kapit. Baka iba yung supplier nung rear emblem.
