My understanding with the shifting issue is give it some time para "makilala" nya driving style mo. Are you sharing your Fiesta with another driver like your wife? In this case mahihirapan sya matuto sa pabagobago na driving style.

Yup sir viva. Alternate kami ng wife ko. I notice also na mataas ung rpm ng first gear halos abot sa 2,500 - 2,700 rpm kaya siguro malakas sa gas. Btw si sir vivafoxpro ang isang henyo na magaling kumalikot ng fofi natin up to now na amaze ako sa ginawa nyo sir na auto lock when pressing the brake

You might have to check the ford or fiesta groups for more updated info. No one is really adding anything here. However if we do finally get one this week i'll update here.

Based on the test drive i did last year i dint really notice the fidgety shifting that they were talking about but it could just have been something i was not looking out for. As far as the cracked windshield, i dont believe any changes were made to the fiesta to prevent it so probably still a chance.

Something to look out for is the rusting nut which holds the wiper mechanism. I can still see the them in the showroom fiestas and the ones i see in the parking lots. I think it was vivafoxpro that posted in the hacking thread about it. You can see it in the through the vents near the passenger side wiper arm, an exposed nut that is in a place where water accumulates.

Anybody had his tranny replaced by the dealership? Mine suffer the same fate with only 3k mileage

I got my fiesta last Wednesday lang, and may issue kami about sa sensor, kasi laging lumalabas sa screen ung OPEN BONNET kahit nakasara naman.. then minsan naman pag baba ko ng kotse at nailock ko na mga pinto.. maya maya lang biglang mag-aalarm ung sasakyan kaya gagawin ko unlock ko then buksan ko pinto then sara ko ng maigi..then mawawala na ung alarm, mahirap lang din kasi baka pag nasa mall nako alarm ng alam pla sa parking lot baka madiskarga baterya.

Sir, How come your unit has an alarm, ours is an immobilizer (mine is Sport Plus HB)? What do you mean nag alarm? Was there a sound?

Haven't posted much lately because we haven't had any issues with our 2011 A/T Fiesta sedan. It just passed the 30,000-km odometer reading last night as we were returning to the province. Masarap pa rin sya ihataw sa SCTEX

4k+ na yon mileage ko. Nagamit ko na ng 2 beses yon warranty. Pinalitan yon headlights ko kasi may parang fog sa loob. Yon intermediate shaft pinalitan na rin. May kumikiskis na tunog kasi kapag iniikot ang manibela.

Nalilito si fofi. Di nya alam kung sport mode or economy mode :D. Yon mga high-end cars na automatic may buttons para ron. Baka may maisip si vivafoxpro na mod para ron.

Nakakalungkot. both yangknockingsound sa likod at harap meron ako at transmission. Just had my rack & pinion replaced last week and mukhang nasolve naman yung knocking sound. Pero sablay naman na kapalit dahil kapag nag start and off ako engine may knocking sound naman sa bandang ilalim ng driver's seat. About the automatic transmission, meron syang jerking feeling. Tulad ng iba ko nababasa, parang hirap sya magchange gear lalo sa lower gears palang. Ramdam lalo to pag mabagal ka palang. Or kapag heavy traffic. Pati sa reverse minsan halos ayaw umayras tapos bigla nalang aatras ng malakas. What my casa did was just reset the tcm but the problem is still there. Will be bringing it back this wednesday for another checkup. This is my first car and i chose a brand new one but now i'm very disappointed. Para akong bumili ng lumang oto. May kilala ba kayong may parehong transmission problem na na ayos talaga?

Sir afaik, computer controlled ang powershift ng fiesta, wala sya torque converter, based sa observation ko, pag naka stop sa traffic at naka brake, nagdidisengaged yung clutch as detected by the tranny comp, kaya pag bitaw mo may konti delay bago umandar, same sa reverse, try mo wag umapak sa preno during reverse, after nya kumagat, smooth na andar...may video sa youtube explaining the powershift, kaya iba ang behavior nya compard sa traditional matic...yung knockin sound, see fordclubph, read about stiff ring....

thanks for the input. mahirap iexplain kapag wala talaga sa oto. but thing is, driving mine for 11 months and these issues just started happening last weeks of november. sarap na sarap nga ako idrive to before. then came november. lalo na yung issue sa reverse, sobrang saklap. kasi kung nagkataon na habang nagpapark yun nangyari, di imposible na makasagi ako ng ibang oto.

Baka naman nag-stick yung rear brakes due to water and prolonged engagement of the handbrake.

Dun ba sa biglang atras, tataas muna rev tapos parang nakalampas sya sa maliit na bato na nakabara sa tires?

Nung rainy season ilang beses ko na-experience although manual transmission ang sa amin. The brake lining forms a thin layer of rust on the drums and sticks a bit. I understand this natural condition kaya hindi ako worried.

Do you drive it daily? Underuse can also be detrimental to a car.

Yup daily ko drive. Oo parang tumaas muna rev kasi natunog na sya malakas pero di umaatras tapos bigla nalang aatras ng malakas. 3 times nangyari sakin to at iniisip kong may koneksyon sa trans kasi yun din yung times na nagstart na di smooth pagpalit nya ng gears lalo pag stop and go traffic. May one time pa na pag nagpupunta ako sa D may mahina pero ramdam na 'TOG' sound. pag punta ko N ganun din. Nawala lang nung mga 3mins nako driving. Dinala ko na sa casa pero di daw nila makita problema at di nila kinoconfirm na meron. Observe ko nalang daw. Sana nga wala. Parang tatanggapin ko nalang na di na smooth trans ko. Or sana mawala nalang bigla. So far 1week ko plang hindi na experience ulit yung malakas na jerking sa reverse.

Mga sirs, ano kayang common isyu ang ma encounter ng 1.4hatchback mt? Yung iba ata kase specific sa powershift tranny fiesta. Salamat!

same question here. Nangyayari din ba sa 1.4 AT yung problem sa transmission ng 1.6 AT? Since magkaiba yata sila ng transmission.

i own a 1.4AT fiesta and i don't encounter the problems mentioned about the 1.6 fiesta. Di nga lang kasing smooth ng shifting ng sa 1.6 but so does other conventional ATs

Thanks for the reply. Seriously considering between the fiesta and the mirage. I like the interior of the fiesta 1.6, I don't know if it is also the same with the 1.4.

I always suggest to test drive them both, have a picture taken of you beside each ride. It will help greatly in your decision.

Mine is a 1.4 M/T sedan. Ang nag-iisang problema ko lang eh umiwas sa mabangis na arangkada . Compare mo rin sila ni Mirage.

Mga fofi owners na try nyo na ba mag palit ng wiper blade ( rubber only)sa rear window? Share ko lang worse experience ko.Grabe dito sa ford greenhills 2,100 ang sinisingil sa akin at mag wait pa ko ng 2-3 days . Upon learning, hindi wala sila rubber kundi buong assembly ng wiper kaya mahal. Sa advertisement nila na ang spareparts 24 hours guarantee pero wiper rubber blade lang wala na stock ang mahal pa. I hope sa ford ranger hindi ganito ka mahal
