A precedent of things to come for Ford PH? I doubt Ford PH will do the right thing for their customers...

Ford May Have to Replace 1,5 PowerShift Equipped Vehicles in Australia | Philippine Car News, Car Reviews, Automotive Features, and New Car Prices | ************

The amount is a record-setting fine handed out to a car company in Australia and represents over 10,500 complaints regarding the Ford Fiesta, Focus, and EcoSport models equipped with the dual clutch automatic transmission sold between 2011-2015.

Complaints in Australia began to surface in 2015 and 2016 and Ford now admits it initially misdiagnosed the problem.

“We took too long to identify the issues and we acknowledge that PowerShift customers did not have complaints handled appropriately between May 2015 and February 2016,” said Graeme Whickman, President & CEO Ford Motor Company, Australia.

“We were overwhelmed with the volume of complaints and, while it was not intended, over a ten-month period our processes were inadequate and information provided was either inaccurate or incomplete. We let our customers down and for that we are sorry.”

“We now realize this program was flawed as it didn’t ensure an adequate assessment of customers’ rights under [Australian] consumer law. We are committed to making right with these customers.”

I doubt it. Takot tayo mawalan ng investor e, definitely the government will just keep mum on it.

Ford Australia's sly wordsmithing of their statement is really something. If you read it carefully, it is apparent that Ford Australia never admitted that the concerned PowerShift models had defective transmissions - only that they did not handle the complaints in a proper manner. This was a deliberate and calculated move so that the company would not set any precedent for a recall. And all they had to do was address the 10,500 Australian individuals that actually complained about this issue. For the rest that kept quiet, well too bad for them.

Everyone knows that there is a problem with Ford's DCT. As there is no formal acknowledgment or recall from corporate, dealerships continue to handle complaints on a case to case basis. The best you can do is to make your case heard so that Ford Philippines can be compelled to do right by you. Meticulously document this process from the beginning as it will take a while before you get any relief.

Yung reflashing ng TCM delaying tactic lang yan para pagurin at paikutin lang kayo. Escalate your case if the repairs/solutions repeatedly fail to fix or even aggravate the problem. Start with the SA, then the branch GM then finally to Ford Motor Company Philippines.

    Good luck.

They said it is caused sa paglusong sa baha. To think that they were advertising the Ecosport having 550mm wading height. I answered if it's baha why then other components are not affected by floodwaters. Then they said that it might be to tilamsik of rainwater. To think that the Dry type DCT250 should be sealed for 10 years and Ford in other countries has extended the warranty for transmission for 7 years. Here its a robbery.
Sir May I know kung ano ang naging step mo to fix your car. I am having the same problem with may ford fiesta and same respond from the dealer.

    Thanks

Ano ba Fiesta mo? 1.4L AT or 1.6L AT? Yung 1.4L, traditional AT ang tranny nun so ATF gagamitin but every 40k KM ata replacement nun.

If you bring it to a Ford dealer and upon checking the error/fault is related to TCM, they will not charge you anything. Ford cars with the dry-clutch DCT has an extended warranty for its TCM (240k kilometers or 10 years).

You can buy your own OBD scanner to check the error/fault codes but if you don't have the data to cross-reference code with the actual error/fault description, you will still have to consult a Ford dealer or download online data if you can.

Di ka naman sisingilin kapag pinasok mo yung kotse. Kapag na diagnose na at pinagawa mo, doon lang may bayad. Puwede mo naman pull out yung kotse kung ayaw mo ipagawa.
