From my house in Quezon City all the way to Nasugbu, Batangas is 127.5km (based on trip meter)... The FoFi is really efficient in long distance driving.
A true devotee of the FoFi...poor Santa Fe left behind, even on a Club Santa Fe funrun .
The FoFi is great on long runs out of the city. I also had the chance to test the "Gradient assist" on the steep twisty bits near Punta Fuego. Worked great. Stops any unwanted gear changing, and gives an extra punch for the climbs, selecting a gear with slightly higher revs. Downhill, it gives you a bit of engine breaking, so I mainly turned it off, and coasted downhill.

    Twisty bits nr. Punta Fuego

I drove to Nasugbu in my normal style on the outward run, but coming back...I gave it some
You got to love that engine sound when you floor it to overtake a lorry...going uphill. 16km/L was easy to achieve, with normal, or aggresive driving. The deciding factor for good FC is "location, location, location"
With an open road, and no stop/start traffic, the Fiesta is a winner.

Yes, an open road and flowing traffic is the FoFi's best friend when it comes to FC...

But I still have to manage typical avoid-and overtake-the-tricycle driving, especially while driving from Tejero to Manggahan Gen. Trias... I feel guilty sometimes though, I was like bullying those trike drivers... but no harm meant... I'm just in a hurry... ^___^

    i just broke the 10 KM/L barrier :D

normal city driving... old average was in the high 8s to low 9s. my most recent full tanks were at 9.9 and 10.3! not bad for a 1.6 automatic car.

2,500 odometer. yes it gets better. didnt change driving style.

is it ok before you fill up a gas, you wait for gas indicator to lit? hindi naman masa sa engine since meron pang reserba. or mas ok before pa umilaw yung gas indicator magpagas na. thanks

Does not make a difference. The gas indicator lits to tell you mababa na gas reserves mo. The Fiesta is pretty conservative it lights up earlier than other vehicles...

Maganda lang sa full tank especially summer na ngayon is it gives very little room for the gas to expand and possibly vaporize...

Ganyan sarap i-drive ang FoFi sa mga provincial roads. Tried it last Saturday going to Batangas.

on my fofi, pina iilaw ko muna yung gas indicator bago ako mag full tank. before kasi sa old car ko 96 model (2.0L), they suggest wag sagarin ang gas or sanaying umilaw ang gas indicator bago magpa gas . and bihira ako mag full tank sa old car ko almost 2.5k-3k ang full tank tapos almost a week lang and my fofi laging full tank almost 1.9k-2k a week. medyo OC lang. thanks sir tidus sa info.

It's been long since I posted here again. Been really busy. Anyways reporting as usual my FC figures for Fofi owners there or for other prospective Fofi buyers there who are thinking of its FC.

FC of my 1.4MT sedan (pure city driving):

    1st - 302 km - 36.843L = 8.197 Km/L (Petron Unleaded E10)

    2nd - 326 km - 36.737L = 8.874 Km/L (Shell Unleaded E10)
    3rd - 338 km - 36.140L = 9.353 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
    4th - 394 km - 43.190L = 9.122 Km/L (3.97L of Total Unleaded and 39.22L of Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
    5th - 374 km - 38.012L = 9.839 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
    6th - 382 km - 36.768L = 10.389 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
    7th - 356 km - 35.720L = 9.966 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/ E10)
    8th - 354 km - 37.229L = 9.509 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/ E10)
    9th - 344 km - 35.046L = 9.816 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/ E10)
    10th - 339km - 35.923L = 9.437 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/ E10)
    11th - 439km - 37.394L = 11.740 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/ E10)
    12th - 387km - 37.570L = 10.301 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/ E10)

My FC is getting better and my highest is my 11th fill-up at 11.7 km/l. Don't know what I did then but I was basically driving on the same route. Hope this helps you.

Filled up anticipating a price hike soon...

And today I got 12.2km/L. Previously I wasn't able to breach the 12's...

Distance of the last fill up was 367.1km

    30.09L till automatic stop

DAMN! I love my Fiesta. My next challenge, match my Toyota Yaris M/T at 13km/L

Impressive figures Sir Tidus. I noticed my FC slightly improved after PMS oilchange.

Its all about anticipation, the better you anticipate what's going to happen next on the road the better your fuel economy.

My verdict on the fuel consumption: 7.5 KM/ L in city driving...

I'm in Ford Libis right now for the 1000km service maintenance of our Ford Fiesta. I got it for my wife last Xmas. A full-tank of gasoline will get you 260kms. You can stretch it to 280km. But, That's it for city driving. It can even go lower if you decide to punch the pedal after you have too much fun driving it.

The Prius like FC is a big stretch.. I dare anyone to prove me wrong about this! But, I'd be happy to know How I can improve the fuel milage. Here's my email address marc*curiouscreatives.com

My other car which I use everyday is a 1.8 V Altis and that gets me 8.5 to 9.5 Km / L milage. I hoped that the fiesta will have better
    milage.

I'm just a bit sad when I complained to the service advisor that the consumption is between 7 to 7.5 KM / L. I was hoping to hear him say that the milage will still improve, but instead, he said straight out. "Sir ganyan lang talaga yan sa city driving". I haven't tested it on a hi-speed long drive yet, but that's what I will do next.

Other than that, I'm very happy with the performance and features of this car. Enuf said!
