I said I wasn't posting unless I get something worthwhile and I did.
For the first time I broke 11km/L barrier...
Fuel= Petron Xtra Unleaded
Tripmeter = 342.6km
Fuel added = 30.62L
Fuel economy = 11.19km/L
Same routes... 2 trips to Binondo as a special mention, traffic lagi sobra duon...
Reporting again the FC of my 1.4MT sedan:
1st - 302 km - 36.843L = 8.197 Km/L (Petron Unleaded E10)
2nd - 326 km - 36.737L = 8.874 Km/L (Shell Unleaded E10)
3rd - 338 km - 36.140L = 9.353 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
4th - 394 km - 43.190L = 9.122 Km/L (3.97L of Total Unleaded and 39.22L of Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
5th - 374 km - 38.012L = 9.839 Km/L (Shell Unleaded w/o E10)
6th - 382 km - 36.768L = 10.389 Km/L (Shell Unleaded E10)
May E10 na uli yung gasolina ng usual Shell station ko. But the good news is I've broken the 10km/L barrier in pure city driving.
Next target, break the 11km/L barrier like sir tidus.![]()
Actually sir ang practice ko is that when I choose a brand of fuel (such as Caltex, Petron, Shell, Total, etc), I stick with it and hindi na ako pabago bago. I take into account that the oil companies put in different kinds of additives in their fuel and their fuels burn or perform better according to their "mixture". If I do switch, I switch all the way.
Correction lang on my 6th fill up:

Just breached the 5000km on the odometer. I'm getting consistent 11+ km/l for the 1.4MT. Let's see the new FC , now that the break-in period is over.
Congratulations on breaching the 5,000 k.! I'm just 1,200 short, so, malapi lapit na rin, exciting because the fc is supposed to improve, after this, so lets keep ourselves posted, those who break 5,000 as to whether, this improved f.c. after 5,000 is an urban legend, or the fact!
Btw, ala bang celebration pag nag break ng 5,000 hehehe just teasing![]()
Ty Master!
5000km + was reached while in NLEX Sunday, and yes, made a celebratory 160kph run (w/ 3 passengers on board) before the final toll plaza Northbound. Funnily I overtook a Fiesta sedan in silver.A few meters before the tolls, he got flagged down for over-speeding. I wasn’t , lucky me! Maybe because I still have no plates ( 4 months + na ), so not having them has its perks.
Going back 150kph spurt nalang, it was evening na, and another celeb at St**b**ks coffee at Petron NLEX Southbound! Yun Fofi, treated to a nice foam wash, Monday naman. Today pahingga sya sa road. Matic trans muna ako today.

02/05 Petron Unleaded - 7.81
02/14 Petron Unleaded - 8.12 after reset
02/26 Total Unleaded - 8.54
03/11 Petron Unleaded - 8.36
03/21 Petron Unleaded - 9.5
Latest: Flying V Premium 95 Octane ***Looks good so far*** Trip computer currently shows 11.7 FC.
Usual route: Greenwoods - Makati
Does anyone here use premium gasoline consistently? I tried Flying V near our place. They said they have no unleaded at that time and they gave premium gasoline at unleaded price (53.75 at that time).
My impression is acceleration is more responsive and the trip computer dipped to 11.7 from 11.8.
I’m wondering also if it’s related to my travel schedule. I use to go out at 9PM but now I leave home at 8PM. Darn those trucks :D
