We won't be able to match kevo888 cause he has a lot of highway driving while us we are purely city driving...

Have you tried the battery trick suggested by ryandude??? It works wonders to your shifting and will ultimately help your fuel economy...

my fc 1.4 MT. naglalaro lang sa 9-10km/L pure city driving from novaliches-edsa-ortigas vice versa. shift between 2k-2.5k, never ako nagfloor ng gas pedal hinayhinay lang ako sa gas. tataas pa kaya ito? expected sana mga around 12km/L man lang dahil 1.4 ito. on my 96 galant i got 8km/L city driving din. does the battery trick will also work on MT variant baka mareset din yung ECU nya.

Not sure about the MT, kasi manually conrolled naman yung shifting unlike sa Powershift computer controlled... Try using engine braking effectively to increase fuel economy... Basic tip, use of brakes is a fuel waster! I am not saying you don't use it but what I am saying is use external forces like friction and engine braking to slow the car and the brakes just to stop it... Anticipation of traffic is the best weapon against fuel waste...

hmmm... will try your advice sir tidus thanks. usually kasi i always put to neutral before braking kaya naka free wheel na sya. eto din na pansin ko, during 2nd gear to stop when i brake then press the clutch (to shift sa neutral) pumapalo ang rmp sa 1.1k. its like you step on the gas pero hindi naman. sa mga naka MT ganun din ba sa inyo.

-- ok yang mag-anticipate ng traffic esp when nearing intersection. Its nice also to shift to neutral pawa free wheeling ka like slight decline lang naman or malapit na nga sa intersection. It will save on fuel and the tranny as well.

1st fulltank - initial load upon delivery
    2nd fulltank - 6.86 kms/liter (Petron Xtra Unleaded - E10)
    3rd fulltank - 7.27 kms/liter (Petron Xtra Unleaded - E10)
    4th fulltank - 8.01 kms/liter (Petron Xtra Unleaded - E10)
    5th fulltank - 7.67 kms/liter (Petron Xtra Unleaded - E10)
    6th fulltank - 7.49 kms/liter (Seaoil Pure Unleaded RON93 - E0)

    7th fulltank - 7.71 kms/liter (Petron Xtra Unleaded - E10) ±0.1kpl variance

I did the ECU reset 2 days ago, so:
    1. I failed to record the exact trip meter reading before resetting (but I have a good idea on the number).
    2. The ECU amnesia after the reset has caused the engine performance to differ, which surely impacted the FC.

Excited ako for my next full tank, to see what the ECU reset really does to my FC.

Bro, what is your computer saying for "average speed". I am interested to know how the FC is impacted by pure city driving. Thanks.

Thanks paolorenzo. That would explain the differences in fc for pure city drivers and mainly highway drivers like me.
Your average speed is 15-17km/h and fc of around 7.5km/l.
My average speed is currently 32km/h and average fc of around 13km/l.
You can see how Metro Manila Traffic kills your fc. You probably hardly get out of first and second gear, while I spend most of my time in 4th or 5th.

Actually Greenwoods (Pasig-Cainta border) to Ortigas Center lang. Halos stop-go traffic all the way. 8kms one-way. Before noontime ang going to office. Tipid ako pauwi kasi elevated ang Ortigas Center, and I go home nearly midnight so less traffic.

Kaya pala... Killer traffic dyan sa Mercedes Ave-Pasig at Stella maris then ikot C-5 to Julia Vargas ave. IMHO, your 7km/l is matipid na, given that scenario.
