    thank you.
My daily driver is a VW Jetta 1.8L automatic German release and another Jetta as well na U.S version, alternate pang coding. Backup ay VW Golf same displacement. Got seriously hooked on VAG cars or RATHER na addict.
They are no matched with the Fiesta in FC (smaller displacement and M/T) even though these VAG automatic with torque converter can shift between 1800 to 2000RPM.

Bidang bida pa din ung Ford Fiesta mo kahit na lumalamang sa fuel economy ung ibang brands ng auto. Siguro kapag may nasira agad diyan sa auto mo prematurely, ung FIESTA pa din ang number 1 sa iyo kasi its has plenty of civilities and fun to drive metrics hehehehe.

compact class comfortable, yes relatively expensive to maintain lang nga. Bit like the Fiesta, the 'fun to drive' factor is the common denominator.

Kasalanan din ni Jeremy Clarkson, on his Top Gear test he did mentioned the Fiesta has the solidity of the VW (maybe the Euro Golf?).... i got convinced and sold to the idea. He's right by the way.

To all 1.4 trend owners living outside M. Manila and Metro Cebu:

Can you please post your FC for reference?

    Thank you.

    bump, Iloilo-Boracay, Boracay-Iloilo, 300km roundtrip usually yields 12km/L

It's hard to maintain speed without cruise control, Fiesta should've had this feature, a GC can easily match the fuel economy surprisingly because of cruise control.

Disappointed talaga mga new owners sa FC, I think Ford made a big mistake by marketing fuel economy(in highway conditions) in a country that 90% of the commute is traffic.

So far with my 2nd tank fuel computer says 10.8L/100km... So that is 9.26km/L but base on my previous comparisons the fuel computer is +/-7% from manual computation... This is pure city driving...

I did check my average speed since I bought the car I have never reseted it. An appalling 14km/h!!!!

Yeowch... diyahe yan a. My trusty Crosswind does an average of 14km/L on my provincial trips to the north. I was hoping for better figures for the Fiesta than that.

ADD: not to mention that's +++ kilos more compared to the light chassis of the Fiesta.

    Diesel > Gasoline

kung diesel lang sana ang Fiesta, wala na talaga complaints about the FC

Hi Jetrone, quite surprised about that, havent seen new bad feedback on FC. But I assume you're one of those disappointed in the FC? How is your FC so far? What's your route and how bad is the traffic? (Average speed when driving).

Anyway I think it wasn't the selling point of this car to those who bought it. It may be 3rd, 4th or even 5th in their/your checklist. At any rate, from previous posts I come to believe that it is indeed decent in highway driving. Would you think so?

Tidus, needed to read your post twice.. 14km/h average? ganun katraffic? But given that and your latest average FC of 9.26km/l (8.6km/l in -7%), I am assuming that is good?

Nah, I've posted many times before that I've come to realize that the Fiesta's FC is like any other subcompact.

Most of the complaints are from the Fiesta's Facebook page, I only try my hardest to explain to them how and why they are getting those figures.

My friend's Fiesta gets 10km/L in Iloilo City driving, goes down to around 6-8km/L on heavy traffic, and 12-14km/L depending on the lead car for long trips. All these figures are just estimates basing on the Fiesta's own fuel computer.
