Trend variant ang ibig sabihin ko, kasi OB thought it's an Ambiente variant
Hi. New member here, I am looking to purchase a 4x2 titanium model 2.2L, have some questions regarding this Ford Everest and hoping some of you who already own one can answer my questions.
1) Enough ba un 2.2L for the unit? From my experience, pag mahina minsan mas lalong magastos sa gas dahil pilit hatak sa kotse. When I asked Ford, they claim that 2.2L is more than enough and much more powerful than say the current 4x2 Montero or 4x2 Fortuner. Ang Montero and fortuner kasi na 4x2 lang, pag umaakyat ng mga inclined roads like parking areas, hirap siya at first and dapat diinan talaga ang tapak sa gas.
2) Kamusta ang fuel consumption for the 2.2L?
3) How about the ride comfort? Ford also claims, hindi sila matagtag, and rides like a sedan. I doubt that it is as comfortable as a sedan, pero how does it compare to the current version of Montero / Fortuner?
Thank you in advance
Trend 2.2 user here:
1. Sufficient naman torque, sanayan lang. Cannot compare with current monty and fort, am not familiar with them.
2. 10 km/ltr combined hiway/city driving per trip computer. 13 km/l hiway (skyway/slex) max. Haven't done FT to FT method pa.
3. Comfortable ride but not like a sedan. A friend who owns a fort immediately felt the difference sa suspension, much better daw sa eve.
Hope this helps.
4x2 Titanium user here sir.
1. For power I would have to say na sakto lang siya. Not surprising and not bitin. Para sakin mas malakas pa din hatak ng daily drive ko na 2009 santa fe.
2. 7km per liter sa trip computer. Di pa ko nag full tank method.
3. Gamit ko before 2009 Montero and we sold it for the Everest.
My Dad drives a '12 fort and mas less ang bounciness ng Everest compared sa fort.
For me the best feature ng Everest is yung gaan ng steering. Sa Montero before ang bigat ng ng steering ang dami pang turns lock to lock ng manibela.
Di ko pa na akyat sa sa steep grade sir eh. Yung Montero ko kasi before non vgt. Yung power nasa 2000+ RPM pa bigla mag susurge.

Haven't seen the interior of the base Everest, pero tingin ko mas maluwag ang Everest, 3rd row is much more comfortable for me. Technology.. Hmm. The MS has the better head unit I guess. Plus it looks more 'complete' on the outside.
However, between your choices I'd still pick the Ambiente. I can upgrade the lights, radio, side mirrors (with turn indicators) ayway. Priority ko kasi safety features especially for this segment.![]()
About space, was able to measure the center to center distance between the front seats. The eve is about an inch wider than the monty. Plus, in my observation, the space between the side edge of the front seat to the door siding of the eve is a bit wider compared to the monty. Comfort? Yes I agree the eve is a bit bumpy, downside siguro of having a 20" rim. Technology? Eve is way ahead of the monty.
