yup. of all the safety features, one that pleasantly surprised me in terms of usability and value is cross-traffic alert. it does its job well while backing-up. it's especially helpful with huge vehicles like the Eve.

Nope.. In my experience, swabe pa rin sa akyatan Paps. Kami 5+1 kid pasengger with full of baggage sa likod, nakafold yung 3rd kasi nga puno mga gamit for outing pick nick.. Takbo nga namin 120kph that time lagi kasi medyo late na kami sa schedule.. Di ba nga sa Ranger may 4x4 sila na 2.2L engine which almost the same sa Everest Paps. Kaya yung byaheng Baguio oks lang yung kahit fully loaded.

gusto nyo subukan yung collision mitigation? i tired it on cardboard box in front and rear, mag-brake siya ng magisa pag mabilis pero hindi consistent lalo na pag backing up.

adaptive cruise control magastos sa diesel. para ba yung feeling ko e lagi siya naka-brake. malayo pa yung vehicle in front nag slow down na. saka subok na mas mataas ang fuel mileage pag manual control compared sa adaptive cruise control.

all genuine Ford filters except cabin filter which is Mazda brand. it's made in Japan though. the edges are harder than the ones I bought on eBay from Thailand.

too bad they don't have Motorcraft 5w-30 FS oil for the Eve. what they have are for gas engines only. price is P370/li.

useful yung adaptive cruise control sa mga maluluwag na expressways like STAR, TPLEX and SCTEX. pero mabibitin ka naman sa overtaking pag sa SLEX or NLEX mo ginamit.

i've long decided to waive my warranty. at the rate i'm using my Eve, i reckon it's worth the risk vs the reward of the amount of money i can save if i do my own maintenance. yung first 1K lang pinagawa ko sa casa.

i buy my own oil and filter(making sure it's 5w-30) and have it changed sa labas. the rest of the filters i change myself.
I used Motorcraft 10W30 Super Duty Diesel Engine oil on my Ford Ranger the entire PMS schedule during warranty period. I just brought my own oil sa dealer i said the specs are within the requirement as specified in the owner's manual and it's Motorcraft. I did not lose the warranty, in fact may nag breakdown na mechanism na hindi usually nasisira almost a year after the warranty expired buti na lang hindi ako nagskip ng PMS kaya when i requested for goodwill warranty it was repaired free of charge. The cost of repair is way beyond the total cost of all the PMS combined.

Good for you sir. Your casa is very generous. Never heard of goodwill warranty before. You are lucky. But I think your case is an exemption rather than the rule. On the other other hand, I have heard horror stories of casas before. I just don't trust them. I like to see what's being done on my car.

Some people here only stay with the casa because of warranty concerns. Again, it's a risk vs. reward thing. If I've been really adding up mileage during the warranty period, then definitely I will avail of it. The more the chance that a breakdown will happen the more we use our cars.

I'm more than halfway thru my warranty period, and so far so good (knock on wood). I don't see my car usage getting any different soon. In the end, I might get unlucky and spend more than what I have saved. Or my gamble might pay off and keep some money in my pocket. That's what calculated risks are for.

Different strokes for diffrent folks I guess.

Kayang kaya yan sir... yung 2.2 ranger ko... 1ton ang karga... kayang kaya uphill sa baguio.... parang mas gusto nga ng engine na mabigat at uphill... when you step on the gas... you can feel the torque pulling ...

Kung hindi na dedetect ang pedestrian... i think need mo pa adjust angle ng sensors or sonars mo... Mine can detect before bycle riders..
Now after changing to steel bumpers, hindi na nya na dedetect....

Yung safety feature nung eve. Save me twice already.... 1st when i fell asleep... muntik na akong mabanga nag alarm and it brake.. 2nd nung may tumawid na bycycle riding Kid while im running at morecor less 80kph sa provincial roads... nag alarm, nag charge ng brakes, ABS, ESC... gumana lahat.... it was a close call akala ko talaga sapul ko na yung batang biglang tumawid comming from the opposite direction... yung mga passengers ko... sabi nila... they felt as if time was in slow mo.... and if hjndi sila naka seat belt baka daw gumulong na sila sa loob ng sasakyan... my rear center pasenger told me her arms and legs was already like floating in the air... good thing naka seat belt cya...

During the time napancin ko din.. nag bliblink na ESC ko....

All i can say is... Everest brakes are really good... ESC is a must on all vehicles.. and always use your seat belt... and not too fast even on open roads...
