I am surprised din with oil price nila. On some receipts I even see as low as 400/l. Knowing how much they pad their prices inside, I wonder why it's that cheap. A 5w-30 FS outside costs around 650 to 700/l.

They may be getting bulk discount from Shell, but still their price is on the low side. Baka naman sa parts na lang nila binabawi. I asked a casa how much their fuel filter is, 5K daw, di pa kasama labor cost. Muntik na ako mahulog sa upuan...lol

mas ok 5w30 kesa sa 5w40?

5w30 is the recommended viscosity. 5w40 can be used if 5w30 is not available.

Whatever the manual recommends is the best. 5w-30 is explicitly stated as the required viscosity rating in our manuals.

Do you know any particular brand that is rated a5/b5? Last time I bought, it was already hard to find a 5w30 rated oil much more finding an a5/b5 one, so I settled with a3/b4. I believe the only difference is you have to sacrifice a bit of fuel economy with a3/b4.

how about these 2 from shell and caltex? they are both rated ACEA A5/B5 and Ford WSS-M2C913-C and WSS-M2C913-D oils (required oil in our ford everest manual).

Caltex Havoline Energy 5W30, product code 3192. but this one comes only in 20L pails and 208L drums.

Shell Helix Ultra Profesional AF 5W30. eto ba gamit sa casa?

hindi reset ng ecu yun. it's the bcm regressing to its default settings. baka may iba pa na di mo napansin, like ac in vent instead of recirculate, 20kph doors auto lock, seat belt minder mute, windshield wiper in speed sensing mode, etc. yan napansin ko when i disconnected the battery for more than 1 hour but not when only for 10 minutes. nasa settings lang, except for the seat belt where you need to do the on-off-on belt in-out sequence.

pano gawin yung ac recirculate? yung sa akin laging naka disable pag start ng kotse.

may iba pala mode yung windshield wiper?
