had a warning message on the dash last night. i was in traffic for more than 30 minutes, stop and go. when i got home i had to step on the brakes while backing up to the garage ramp. then backing up to the wall the anti collission activated, brakes charged up and the brake pedal was solid (pedal was up but can't be depressed) and eve will not go back even when i step on the accelerator. put the gear in D, still will not move and brake pedal still solid. then came warning messages on the dash "hill descent control not available", "hill start assist not available" and "anti collission assist not available". these 3 came and repeated 2x. i decided to put in N then turned off the engine. put it in P then started it.right away. brake pedal was back to normal. put the gear in R ànd D and now eve moved normallly.

weird.

Forward collision mitigation/pre-collision don't work on reverse. Also, it shouldn't disable a bunch of assist and controls like you mentioned when triggered(from what I read in the manual.)

I would schedule it for a scan in casa while underwarranty pa. Baka may makitang sensor out of range....

That is why all those safety sensors wont work effectively here in pinas because of the unique driving habit of the pinoys.

Alreafy experienced the anti collision, na feel ko para nanigas ung break pedal pero after mag normaliz ung situation, instantly back to normal, as in agad agad, pero na feel ko na may lumaban sa break.. for me ok ung feature na to, but i put it on minimal lang pra atleast ako pa dn in control

It wont activate FCM in reverse though... Basically, same logic applies in your car's rear view camera only popping out when you put your lever in reverse. Radar and front camera for FCM is only activated when in D or S. Turn'd off when * R and P.

Gear lever in R backing up his drive way when it went haywire, Sir Yebo's case. - Obviously not writen in the manual, hopefully casa has the answer on there scanners..

What happened sir? Baka ABS lang yung nag kick in and not FCM?

There should be first an audible sound and flash in WS before it brakes automatically.

Nasa owners manual natin and a lot of internet sites.

di kaya meron din sa reverse? i have been trying to remember something that happened just a month after i got the eve and i was backing up also and it was a bit fast, like 2 days ago, and it applied the brakes on its own. no alarm that time and it went away on its own. i will try backing up fast on a curtain or tarp to test. isipin ko muna how to set this experiment up. wala ako sampayan sa garahe na pwede pagsabitan ng tarp e.

Sir yebo, i've been back reading but can't find answers. What tire pressure do you recommend for the stock titanium setup? I find the 35 psi matagtag, while having 33psi makes the ride better. I find our alterra's ride better than the everest if it's pressured at 35 psi.

Yes FCM nga yan sir. Ung unusual feel sa brake pedal is completely normal. The ford engineers says it is "pre charging" the brakes... Meaning, ung clearance ng pads sa disc is liliit na para kaunting apak mo lang sa brake pedal eh kakagat na agad ung preno. Hence ung matigas na feel.

- On normal conditions, ung matigas na feel or nag start lang tumigas brake pedal usually around the 30% mark and up na ng pedal. Also, dun na rin tumataas brake line pressure at lumalakas na kagat ng brakes...

If activated FCM, at around 1% pa lang ng apak mo sa brake pedal = 30++% na agad amg equivalent na mafefeel mo na stopping power.

Ang theory kasi is, sometimes sa emergency situations, ung ibang driver di nila naaapakan ng husto ung brake pedal. So sa sobrang panic nila, kulang sa apak sa preno at napapasigaw na lang kaya mahina preno at nababanga, etc...

And also, ang obvious is reaction time. Say it take 3inches para max brake mo. Pag may FCM, 2mm na apak lang max brake pressure na agad bigay sa preno..


At speeds of 120kph example, difference na yun ng life or death. Or dimple sa bumper or total wreck......

Dont take my word for it. Di ako sure dyan kaya nga tinatanong ko si Sir Yebo if may balita lang sya...

Ang confirmed lang po is as follow for 2017 model for the AUS model pero most likely same or lesser sa atin.

1. SAME 2.2 & 3.2 pero Euro 5 engines na(maglagay na sila ng O2 sensor at DPF - not sure if applicable sa atin.)

2. ISOFIX seats(current gen eve have infant seat anchors pero apparently not isofox standards?)

3. SYNC 3

*it didnt mentioned any facelift, or new engines and/or higher stance.

Buhayin ko lang to, eto ung significant improvement for 2017 eve.

*again, no confirmed facelift.

1. Not applicable sa atin since di mahigpit denr sa emmision ng mga oto sa atin. Still euro 4 pa rin.

2. Just confirmed, ISOFIX na pala seats natin from the start, sa ibang bansa kasi di pa isofix so minor mix and match sila dun pati i release na raw 4x2 model sa kanila.

Tanung lang, ano ba meron sa sync 3, 1st ford ko kasi ung eve, kaya wala ako idea sa mga sync nila.. ung nsa eve nga ngayon parang ok na sa akin.. although nothing special din naman.. sa simula lang pero after a while, wala na din, parang mobile phone.. daming features pero at the end of the day, you can libe with call and text lang naman.. the rest kahit wala, ok din naman.. sorry po sa mga sync 3 fans, di ko lang kasi kabisado mga features kung ano meron..

confirmed! tried it kanina na medyo mabilis na reverse sa halaman sa parking sa tagaytay. nag-precharge yung brake pedal tumigas ulit siya. nawala din agad as soon as i put in neutral. depende siguro sa bilis ng pag reverse. tried ko na slow reverse di siya nag precharge. tried ulit ng mabilis nag precharge. so as for my unit titanium premium 4x4 meron collision mitigation in reverse.

OT: Gulat ung mga taga AUS eve forums pinost ko ung ISOFIX seats natin sa pinas. Akala nila weird batch ung everest ko sabi ko Im from PH at may isofix seats na sa atin since 2015 sa kanila sa 2017 model pa ilalabas. Hehe..
