Syempre nagandahan agad ako kasi I'm coming from a Mirage HB. Layo interior from the ecosport pero fuel efficient talaga.

I hope my unit be delivered before holy week.

Honda is also loosing in India. Toyota, Hyundai, Chevrolet, and other cars uses diesel engine there, Honda was still gasoline kaya nilangaw sila.

My friend is driving a diesel Toyota Altis there. Sabi niya EcoSport also just came out in India, diesel engine siya.

The SR did not call back after he informed us yesterday that units are already in house and our resevation was picked... Only issue was it was for PO cash and not IHF... So i guess it was pushed way back the reservation list....

Thought of having thr city or jazz.

Funny thing is that based on the reports released regarding month car sales, naovertake pa ng Isuzu ang Honda for the month of February.

Sa india mabenta talaga ang ecosport. Browsed the forum na pinost na may review by bhp.

Nakakainip eh. Naranasan sa mirage, ngayon sa ecosport naman.

I kinda don't believe that the Altis isn't selling well. I see more new Altises than any other compact. After driving one, I get why it's the best choice for the majority of compact car buyers out there.

The Elantra and Lancer suddenly became wallflowers, joining the ranks of the Civic FB.

The Vios has always sold more than the Altis so it's unfair to compare their sales with each other.

Call me old fashioned bit I like the spare tire on the door. Makes it easier to check the pressure, too. And contrary to what some say, it did offer a degree of protection in the few time I got rear ended in traffic.

    +1 to this

It's just amazing how the owner of that black Ecosport managed to redesign the tailgate without completely ruining its design cues. Blog says it was taken from the tailgate of a Fiesta.

Right. Practical ang ecosport bec of the wading capability.

I have a feeling na pushed way back na din ako sa list.

People nowadays are smart buyers, bibili ka ng Montero / Fortuner, mahal na, mahal pa insurance kse malaki, mas malakas ang consumption, and with bigger category means more expensive parts as well as service. Some gas stations charge double sa change oil pag suv, and of course car wash

It's a good thing people are buying the smaller economical ones, nakakatulong ka pa sa environment, congestion,

Ngaun, sigurado talo ka sa costing even if you're a camry, an explorer / cx9 or even a gasoline - fed van

Imagine sa dami ng magaganda restaurants ngaun, papuntA pa Lang sa mall ubos na 1k mo, pero yun couple na naka-wigo can order more and enjoy the dining experience. Ako mas value ko yun, I mean cars pa din are point a to B, if it gets you to your destination safe and sound and comfortable why burden yourself with big bulky costly cars

The one who drives a montero to eat at SM aura can only do it one time per week vs. the one who drives a wigo / mirage who can go there maybe 2-3 times. At the age of social media and networking, experience is the best thing. owning expensive cars na nasa parking lng most of the time, what a waste of hard-earned money.

Minsan natatawa din ako sa mga ibang car owners who spend more on accessories like black mags, carbon hood etc. etc. pag sa parking lot people will barely notice your p100k add-on, coz people nowadays magma madali umalis ng parking lot coz mainit ang singaw

    ---

I think the younger gen know this more, they'd rather op of 500k mirages / i10 than buy used subaru, rav4, CRV at same price range. I have just browsed Sulit/olx, imagine 2011 crvs or subarus at 500k n LNG, that's less than half the SRP when these SUVs were brand new. And imagine if it' installment pa, a 1.3M car usually adds up to 300k more interest If 3-5 years to pay, pero wala na yun sa extra interest if sold at 2nd hand. No wonder. A lot of fancy car owners today just go home to eat dinner para makatipid sa payments, ni Hindi na makapag-cafe or sine man lang. These activities are important din coz if you just become a homebody, your chances of buying a next brand new car are limited, kse wala ka man lang exposure socially

We have both a Montero Sport and a Mirage G4. In terms of practicality, the G4 is tops, but I harbor no illusions as to its ability to withstand the elements. All it will take to kill the G4 is another Ondoy-level event, something that the Montero Sport might survive.

To the TS and MODS, medyo OT but I simply had to give my two cents on this post.

If I may share my view, some people buy cars based on several factors.
Financial capability - When you have a fat wallet you get to choose even the most expensive ride on the block. Whether it is a good fit or not it is a choice you can afford to get away with and no one can fault you for spending unwisely.
Model preference - You can go through lengths of discussions on whose ride is the best but in the end everyone's opinion must be respected. After all you wouldn't want someone to say you've got a lemon of a car.
User Necessity - I got an SUV recently because I have been driving a sedan and a Van since I was 17 yrs. old. Now in my late 40's, I felt I needed the pleasures of an SUV ride and I was right. Before I just simply needed a ride and I didn't care much how or what it looked like nor what state it was in. Now I even complain about the simplest road noise that enters the cabin compartment so my ride criteria has somewhat evolved.
POGI POINTS - I had a friend who insisted that wearing LEVIS 501 Jeans made him look good. This guy was high wasted and didn't exactly sport a good fit on his lower bottom end ( in tagalog, "alang P--T) so the jeans made it worst for him. I didn't bother to say anything 'coz those jeans brought out his self confidence, unafraid and ever so bold. This my friend is why DOM's sport expensive cars and flashy rides.

Our views on spending differ as our income base are not exactly the same. Eating in restaurants as oppose to eating at home does not prove that you are rich nor are you poor. I like my wife's home cooking and her slaving to make sure I get a well deserved meal is the only reason I don't eat much in restaurants. Don't get me wrong, I still eat out whenever I entertain clients. Going to the movies is not a luxury of money but a luxury of choice. Most people have money to spend on celfone load but scrape cash for some form of entertainment such as going to the movies. Still, there are some people who would rather watch DVD's on their 50k-2M home theater systems. Some people simply don't have the urgency to socialize that much and would rather keep to themselves but this does not mean they don't have the capability to earn better than their more socialized contemporaries. We buy cars of our own choice and that is why some models may or may not work for us for a lot of reasons, right or wrong. Just keep in mind that the problem in buying a car is not the price nor the term or interest rate but on the poor judgement of your finances. If you know your capacity to earn then you would know your capacity spend. :old:
