Your most welcome sir. Im worried also since all of these are new technologies of ford and inmo they are not proven to perform well. I experienced this in my ford fiesta as it uses dct. Dct is basically a manual transmission with actuators and sensors to do the part Of the driver and what is complicated here is the calibration oh ECU which ofcourse not serviceable part.nasa developmental stage pa ito. Halos maubos ang gas ko kaka- program ng ford service ang ECU ko. They need to test the unit in high speed and Then recalibrate. My regrets is up to now hindi pa rin nawawala ung shifting problem ng fofi ko (a/t).

So it will be 12.3km per liter but its a inboard computer computation by the ranger(dont know if its accurate) Havnt tried manual computation.
Long drive ito. Meron stop and go maybe around 5stops, and carrying some containers containing diesel around 74liters
just would like to share also my rough computation on my FC when i last travel baguio - makati - baguio.
total distance traveled was ~582kms
full tank from full tank at the same pump cost me 2035 pesos * 43.3 pesos / Li = ~47 Liters
FC then is around 12.38 km per Liter or around 8.1 Li / 100km
which is in consistent with sir ersatz0906 's FC.
drive style was more on the aggressive mode, 1 passenger half way, 3 passengers the 2nd half, + the 30kg x 2 sack of gravel i tied on the bed; so eco driving mode at the highway will definitely give us more than 13km per liter.
This is a manual as well, correct?
Hay parang ayaw ko na magwait for the Wildtrak kasi walang M/T. With all the horror stories of A/T ng ford and the high maintenance costs I might just get a manual 2.2.
Can anyone give me feeback sa M/T transmission? Does it shift smoothly? How does it compare to a hilux m/t? in terms of shifting and ease of use. For the A/T users aside from the sound when changing from 2nd to 3rd what else? Is there a solution? How is the FC?
Thank you so much!
yes, Manual transmission. (sorry, i forgot to mention).
my feedback on MY 2.2 M/T: (notice, MY unit lang ito ha, baka lemon yung transmission ko)
-i really don't like driving it on a stop-go uphill condition, ang hirap timplahin.
-my cousin who has more time driving the 3.0 m/t hilux says the transmission of the 2.2 mt is 'high speed' compared to the hilux, the 1st gear of the ranger feels like or drives like the 2nd gear of a 3.0 hilux m/t. not sure what he means, could be that the ranger is less torquey at 1st gear even if compared to the 3.0 hilux at 2nd gear.
- from my limited experience with the hilux 3.0, parang mas smooth ang gear shifting sa hilux. happened to me many times na, na kung mag kulang sa apak sa clutch, mag gri-grind yung gears shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. could be drivers fault, pero never ako naganun sa hilux.
Good day rangers... Share ko lang din po my experience and findings when I was given the chance to test drive your truck (manual tranny)...
Exterior:
1. Hands down... No words can describe...
Interior materials: (Dashboard, seats, etc...)
1. Sad to say my wife and I are not impressed... It looks cheap compared to dmax (our other option).
Accessories:
1. Better... Love the rain sensing wiper, voice control, cruise control, etc... My wife loves the adjustable driver's seat height... Downside no backing sensor...
Suspension:
1. Great for pick up... Better than my nissan frontier but almost identical to my navara...
Power or torque:
1. High revving truck... The power is on the higher rpm just like my navarra... I have a little bit of problem trying to mix the clutch and engine when i was climbing uphill from full stop... Same thing with my navara.. The reason for this maybe (correct me if i'm wrong) for its high rpm torque... Navara's engine occassionally stalled during low rpm on 2nd gear... For high RPM or long stretch SKY is the LIMIT for both trucks...As for my frontier no problem for climbing from full stop and never stalled the engine on low rpm...
For comparison I have 4x4 frontier and 4x4 navara...
Decision:
Undecided...We have to impress ourselves with the interior materials... As our frontier and navara did... Maybe the 4x4 wildtrack will...

Thanks for your analysis!
I just don't get how you and your wife find the interior of the Ranger cheap? Soft touch most parts ng Ranger compared to the Dmax interior which is all hard plastic (cheaper) na currently in the market. I hope you meant the new incoming Dmax as your other choice because the current one does not compare at all except for it's engine.

It's the latest dmax the isuzu has now... We are not impressed dahil cguro we are used to have leather seats for our trucks...
napansin ko nga naninibago ako pag grandia at grandstarex dala ko...... lalo na sa uphill kailangan yata nakabisado mo timpla ng clutch
