they are just pushing the Huper Optik Tint. may quota kasi sila from LAUS Group. Nano-ceramic tint yan and mataas heat rejection. macocompare siya sa V-Kool. you can of course get the tints like 3M or cheaper brands usually free from CASAs. I had mine full front nano-ceramic huper optik, it has a 7-year warranty.
Yung floor mat na 1 piece, nasa brochure naman talaga yun e. driver's side lang yung included matting. maybe may Hook? Ok nadin yan. kung may free man usually pangit naman yung quality, unless kasama talaga straight from the factory like yung sa driver's side ng ranger.

July 24th, 2012 04:07 PM #542I've been really intrigued about the new Ranger ever since James Deakin wrote about it. I passed by a Ford Dealership yesterday to finally take a look at it, and what really impressed me at first was its size. It dwarfed the Everest which was parked beside it.
I was able to test drive right away, and the Sales Agent said I could drive it anywhere I wanted instead of their usual route (I'm keeping some details in the dark since I don't want the SA to get into hot water). Anyway, I was able to drive it around the city and I even was able to drive it up Antipolo. Here are my observations:
Pros
+ the 2.2 diesel engine is powerful, it can easily accelerate to 100 km/h without noticing any grunts. I was doing 80+ km/h on the twisties going up to antipolo
+ steering is very nimble, feels like driving a sedan
+ bluetooth controls are easy to use
+ very spacious cabin. i'm 5'7" and i can cross my legs even when seated at the back
+ has a commanding, floods won't be a problem
+ horn is solid, doesn't need to be replaced
Cons
- Parking will take some getting used to, its size might be a challenge for some parking spaces. There are some blind spots. I agree that a back-up sensor is a must. It might be even a better idea to install a backup camera if possible.
- There is a slight delay in acceleration. The SA said it's due to the fly-by-wire technology. To counteract this, you can just the floor the accelerator and let the engine rip.
- There is a still a certain bit of harshness with the suspension. But what can you expect, it's a pickup truck. If you want comfort, get a luxury sedan. I own a Starex and I can definitely say that the Ranger is more comfortable to drive.
Hope this review helps potential buyers out there. I plan on getting one early next year. Hopefully the price will be lower next year and there will be more third-party accessories out in the market.

July 24th, 2012 05:27 PM #544Ok, I solve the problem with the backup sensor. I was able to install one few hours ago.
Ive been back and forth with the car accessory shop in alabang and we both agreed that there's only few ways to solve this problem.
1.Try to Bore through the chrome - this is a very risky move, he even refuse to do it for the fear of cracking it, he already said he did to a pajero, but the owner didnt mind when the hole became slightly oversize and got some hairline of cracks around the hole.
2. Install a back up camera located at the plate - also a good move, but slightly expensive, unfortunately it doesn't make that "sound"
3. Install backup sensor with a bracket - a good alternative, but its bracketed underneath, not embedded like how back up sensors normally are.
I opted for option 3. The workmanship was quite impressive, he said normally they still have to bore through the chrome underneath even if it got oversized youll hardly notice it since its below the bumper. But what we did, is to install it on both screws where the bumper is screwed on, so no boring was necessary.
I still have to wait and see how this work during parking though...
