Checked a number of Ford websites, this is what I found.
The 4x2 2.2 data that show a payload weight of 1271kg has a specified Gross Vehicle Mass of 3200kg (estimated curb weight: 1929kg)
The 4x2 2.2 data that show a Gross Vehicle Mass of 2925kg has a specified payload weight is 965kg. (estimated curb weight: 1960kg)
The Payload varies between countries probably either due to territory/state regulations (method of measurement).
The local Ranger 4x2 2.2 specs specify a Gross Vehicle Mass 2925kg.
PS: Specs from Ford Vietnam, they have no 4x2 2.2 XLT, but they have a slightly lower spec 4x2 2.2 XLS (Their XLT is 4x4).
4x2 2.2 XLS MT unladen weight: 1884kg
4x2 2.2 XLS AT unladen weight: 1918kg
I guess its safe to say the Ranger 4x2 2.2 XLT is in the 1900kg area.
Guess it makes sense since its the largest pickup in its segment.Last edited by AG4; July 27th, 2012 at 09:27 PM.

July 28th, 2012 06:10 PM #573Just got our bt 50 last week.

Would be a nice addition sa mga 4x2 models for slippery roads.

That's the Australian spec 4x4 Ranger XL, according to Anika Salceda-Wycoco, Ford Philippines' AVP Corporate Communications, the local spec 4x4 Ranger XL will have 16 inch alloy wheels and won't come exterior tie-down hooks.
Based on my online search, these are the 16 inch alloy wheels used by different models of the 2012 Ranger in other markets, this includes the XLS model in South Africa (shown below) and XLT in Europe (local spec XLT has 17 inch wheels).
I think these are the 16 inch alloy wheels we'll see on the local spec 4x4 XL.
I guess you meant base model "steel wheels" used in other markets, because aren't all standard wheels considered stock, including OEM alloy wheels.
Don't worry, the local spec XL will have 16 inch alloy wheels.Last edited by AG4; July 29th, 2012 at 12:12 PM.
