October 4th, 2016 12:51 PM #2the father of boxy Ford Explorer is the Ford Bronco. Buti na lang preserve ko Ford Explorer ko hehe. That's hard to use coz a 2 door SuV is pointless
Seems that America is excited about the Ranger.

I wonder if Ford also has plans to come up with a 4-door version of this new Bronco.

The Bronco was fullsize before all these other (ford) models came out. If you wanted a Ford full size 2 door SUV, you buy a Bronco. If its Chevy, there's the Blazer, IH, you have the Scout 2 Terra.
If and when Ford does offer a 4 door Bronco, then that's killing the pedigree of the name (brand) itself. Just like Jeep offering a 4x2 Rene-gay-de.
Anyway ... pffft.Last edited by lowslowbenz; October 4th, 2016 at 04:25 PM.

Based on reports, the new Bronco will be based off the Ranger platform.

The new Bronco is expected to be partnered with the Ranger when it returns to the US (after Ford's lower volume USDM small car production moves to Mexico in 2018), it could be a restyled Everest.
This means it would be a mid-size body-on-frame SUV.
The Ford Edge and current Explorer are car-based crossover SUVs.Last edited by AG4; October 5th, 2016 at 02:36 PM.
