the father of boxy Ford Explorer is the Ford Bronco. Buti na lang preserve ko Ford Explorer ko hehe. That's hard to use coz a 2 door SuV is pointless

I doubt that a 4-door Bronco will be slotted in the full size SUV category of the Exped or even in the midsize category of the Explorer. It would be more like within the same size and specs as the Ford Edge.

I think it will be as big as the Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer, kasi reference point nyo lang Ford Bronco noon 70s. there is a Ford Bronco 1996 then it became the Ford Explorer in 1999

The 1st gen Bronco was compact, but when the 2nd gen Bronco was introduced in late 1977, it was paired with the full-size F-series pickup.
From then on it stayed full-size until it was replaced by the longer 5-door Expedition.
During the 80's alongside the big Bronco, Ford introduced a smaller Ranger-based Bronco II, this was eventually replaced by the Explorer.

The current Everest is as big as the previous Explorer. Since the next Bronco will be paired with the Ranger, it will be mid-size.

Based on an article from Road and Track, the new Bronco might actually get some hints on the design of the Everest and the Troller T4.

An Everest powered by the 2.3L Ecoboost engine (270hp/400Nm), why not? Question is would it sell locally.

Well, reports say the new Bronco will be based off the the Ranger platform. The current Everest would be the best candidate for a test mule.

That's probably just the prototype of the refreshed Everest (The refreshed 2019 Ranger and Everest will probably be unveiled one after the other) so it makes sense to see both being tested the same time.
Ford also tests non-US market models in the US (HQ is in Dearborn, MI).

The rock crawling everest will probably be the Bronco. Its off road capability is just very good. the edge and explorer are just too soft for offroading..
