I agree with lexlibris... Cabalen in Megamall seems okay.
BTW... what I said about Italianni's pertains to service... sayang... masarap pa naman ang pagkain!

hmmm...cabalen megamall don kami nakalibre payong..depende din siguro sa location hano..?me nilalangaw me matao..italiani's greenbelt ok naman pati service..ambiance pati superb..
sa branch din siguro lalo na masungit ang manager against staff damay ang eating public sa internal squabbles nila..'yaaannn ang hindi natin macontrol...

ako naman po, bad ang experience ko sa oody's gb3... ewan ko, siguro dahil "lunch break" nila.. pero mga 12:30-1pm ata kme dumating, natapos kme 3pm na.. considering na gutom na kme ng mom & cuz ko.. naserve ata nila ung food mga 2:30 na.. pero kami lang ang customers... ang lagkit pa ng tables nila... yech!

isang beses lang kayo makakakin sa rest. na ayaw niyo since hindi na kayo babalik if ever.
i think magiging concusive lang lahat ng sinabi niyo kung 5 TIMES NA KAYO KUMAIN dun at pare pareho nang service ang nakuha niyo.

Pero sa Cabalen SM Manila branch, daming beses na namin kumain doon. Laging bad service. Tiniis lang talaga namin yung service for 2 years. Dahilan na pumupunta kami dun kasi out of convenience. We're a creature of habit. Pero ngayon, sa iba na kami kumakain.
Meron talagang restaurant na talagang pinabayaan na ng manager. Makikita mo agad sa attitude ng mga crew. Kung papatay-patay ang kilos ng tao, chances are wala rin paki-alam yung manager. Baka ito ang result ng 5 month contract - walang attachment na sila sa job nila.
In regards to ipis, kung may nakita kang ipis sa soup mo, ano kaya ang itsura ng kitchen? Yung ipis, hindi lang a-la chamba iyan. They come in batches, pati itlog. More likely they have infestation problem sa kitchen. Ayaw lang nila gumastos pa-fumigate. Kaya kung may nakita ka isa o dalawa, huwag ka nang bumalik. Isolated or not, I'm not gonna take a chance just to find out.

sa ganang akin, first impression lasts.. reading sir jolog1 sentiments i couldnt agree for more..it makes a lot of sense..nagkandapilipit na sa sakit ang tyan mo at na-food poisoning kana..?!
"I love Sushi" restaurant at Sta. Lucia. Galing ng rice toppings. Free rice nga, sobrang konti naman ng ulam. Buti sana kung may sauce, but no, wala rin. Ano yun? Papapakin mo yung kanin? Age Dashi Tofu... these are supposed to be soft, pero ang gamit nila, tokwang palengke na pagkatigas tigas. Tsk tsk tsk..
sa 4 na greenwich na kinaiinan ko, mabaho yung mga kutsara nila. nagpapakuha pa ako ng plastic spoon and fork.
i i cant blame you guys, we go to these restos expecting good food and good service, if we dont get that we have the right to complain,
but do you know that only 5% of unsatisfied guests complain? maybe instead of just telling your friends about your experience, you just call the attention of the manager so they can improve on their service and/or food
Meron akong kakilala na service technician ng LPG. Nagiinstall siya ng stoves, gas, burners sa mga restaurants. Dami na daw niyang na-install sa restaurants all over Manila, siguro hundreds of restaurant kitchen na napasukan niya.
Sabi niya sa kin, diring diri talaga siya sa mga nakita niya. Isang hamburger restaurant sa Avenida (forgot the name) yung big ball of raw hamburger meat nila nakasalpak lang sa mesa sa kitchen. Puro malalaking daga umiikot doon. Kumakalbo na daw sa tanda. If you really have to eat out, mas recommend daw niya kumain kayo sa loob ng mall. Generally, mas higher standard daw ang cleanliness sa loob ng mall kesa standalone resto.
Pero ako ang advice ko as former resto manager, kung anong nakita mo sa dining room multiply it by 3... ganyang kadumi ang kitchen. Kung marumi ang kitchen, chances are marumi rin yung pagkain. Kaya you can make a conclusion about food cleanliness by just looking at the dining room. It reflects the attitude of the manager, kung neat freak siya o walang pakialam.
i highly recommend tony romas sobrang galing ng service...
nabadtrip ako a few days ago sa hapchan west ave... ewan ko ba midnight na at konti lang tao pero d kami pinapansin, ang tagal lahat ng order pati pag kuha ng bill matagal lumapit nalang ako sa cashier
sa mga fastfood naman, habit ko nang kumain after 11:00 am.
Pag sa opening, either reheated ang makukuha (as in the case of Polo Loco) or double fried (batangas city branch of Shakey's)

chowking quezon ave malapit sa klownz. kumakain gf ko ng halohalo nila ng mapansin ko na may buhok dun sa halohalo. ewan ko kung matatawa ako o masusuka kasi kulot ung buhok. kadiri!
I hope this is an isolated case:
Just today we went to Via Mare Cafe at Greenbelt (yung sa luma, hindi yung Oyster Bar). Ordered food, waited 40 minutes for it to arrive. We followed it up once 20 minutes into our waiting.
As the waiter brought the food, he said that one item we ordered was not available. And he decided to tell us only after 40 minutes of waiting.
Add to that, when they offered to cook an alternative right away, they said they can prepare it in 5 minutes. And we waited 40 minutes for ours.
To top it off, the manager was not around. He was in a meeting, they claim. The captain waiter faced us and apologized.
And then upon payment the supervisor gave us the bill, and he had no idea what happened. Again he apologized.
Oh well... they did nothing special to appease us. I'll remember to avoid that place.
Max's SM Bacoor Branch, re fried yung chiken na ibinigay sa amin dati tapos maanta pa yung mantikang nagamit nila, saka pansin ko lang 'yung chiken nila malaki lang ng kaunti sa kalapati, minsan naman sa barrio fiesta sa SM Southmall, pag tayo ko, nasabit yung pantalon ko sa rattan chair nila, napunit yung pants ko, tapos dedma lang yung manager, ni hindi man lang nag sorry sa nangyari, di naman pwede tahiin kasi wool yung pants ko, nakakainis
